Phil Dumatrait has been transferred from the 15-day DL to the 60-day DL, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. The team promoted reliever Jesse Chavez from Triple-A Indianapolis as the corresponding move.

Our View:Dumatrait was already ruled out for the season following his surgery to repair damage to his rotator cuff.

Our View:Dumatrait showed little to excite this season and shouldn't really be on anyone's radar next season even if he is healthy.

Phil Dumatrait flew to Pittsburgh from Bradenton for a medical exam to test his ailing left shoulder before taking his throwing to the next level, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Our View:He is not expected to rejoin the Pirates until September, and is not worth waiting for as a fantasy hurler, as he holds a 5.26 ERA and 1.58 WHIP over 78.2 innings of work this season.
