Four clubs appear to be vying for the services of reserve outfielder Rocco Baldelli, according to the Providence Journal.

Our View:The Yankees, Mariners and Rangers are all known to be interested. Considering that the Yankees just signed Randy Winn, expect them to be a little anxious for some insurance.
January 17, 2010
Rocco Baldelli has said "three or four" teams have expressed interest in his services this offseason, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View:He is looking to latch on somewhere as a fourth outfielder. In 62 games last season, he hit .253 with seven home runs and 23 RBI in such a role with the Red Sox. He will not be returning to Beantown.
January 15, 2010
There is belief that the Yankees have interest in Rocco Baldelli, according to the Star-Ledger.

Our View:The veteran outfielder is also said be interested in playing for New York. Baldelli has a poor track record with durability, but would give the Yankees a solid hitter against left-handed pitchers when healthy.
October 8, 2009
Rocco Baldelli has been left off the Red Sox's ALDS roster due to his hip flexor injury, according to the Providence Journal. Baldelli is hoping to be healthy enough to play in the ALCS id the Red Sox advance.

Our View:This was expected, as Rocco has not made much progress over the last week or so. Brian Anderson and Joey Gathright both made the roster as reserves, and one of those two would likely get left off the ALCS roster if Baldelli returns.
October 7, 2009
The Boston Herald reports that Rocco Baldelli is unlikely to make Boston's ALDS roster, as his aling hip flexor has improved slowly.

Our View:Outfielders Brian Anderson and Joey Gathright will seemingly be on the first-round roster against the Angels.
