Rocco Baldelli will spend the rest of the week working out with the Rays, according to the Tampa Tribune. Baldelli will work on some things while getting some time to let his sore groin heal.

Our View:Baldelli will basically spend the time around the clubhouse while doing some light baseball work. The upshot of this is that he will put his minor league rehab on hold at 20 days, leaving him 10 days once he returns before a decision needs to be made about his status.

Rocco Baldelli wrapped up his rehab stint with Single-A Vero Beach on Sunday afternoon, going 1-for-4, including an RBI single, this according to the team website. Baldelli fared well enough for Vero Beach -- going 6-for-29 with two stolen bases - but it is unclear what the Rays' next move will be.

Our View:Baldelli said he would likely head to Tropicana Field today and talk with the club, although he was unsure about any specific plans.

Rocco Baldelli, who is suffering from mitochondrial disorder, is not expected to be activated from the DL anytime soon, according to the Tampa Tribune. Manager Joe Maddon said, "He's still not there yet. We're cautiously optimistic that he's going to be able to get back at some point. We have no idea what that means yet."

Our View:Baldelli is yet to make an appearance with the Rays this season. He would offer solid speed and power potential to a fantasy roster, but has been cursed with poor durability, and is too risky to consider stashing away for your playoff push.

Rocco Baldelli is scheduled to DH tomorrow afternoon at Clearwater, a bit of a revision of the original plans laid by the Rays, according to the Tampa Tribune.

Our View:Baldelli was supposed to start tonight and pinch-hit tomorrow, but the Rays flip-flopped his assignments because Clearwater will be starting a lefty in tomorrow's noon game and they’d like to see Baldelli get the at-bats against him.

Rocco Baldelli reported no problems following a three-game rehab stint with Single-A Vero Beach, according to the AP. Baldelli, who been sidelined since May 2007 with a mitochondrial disorder, will likely return there for more games after team officials evaluate his progress.

Our View:It's tough to predict when Rocco will be able to return, given the unusual nature of his ailment. We'll just say that you should be thrilled if he comes back and gives fantasy owners any sort of production this season.
