Marcus Thames went 2-for-4 with a pair of two-run homers in Friday's 10-4 win over the Brewers at Comerica Park.

Our View:Thames now has five homers this month, and should remain a good source for power in AL-only leagues. He has not struck out in his last two games as well.

Marcus Thames went 1-for-4 with a solo homer and two RBI in Thursday's 6-3 win at St. Louis.

Our View:Thames collected his third homer of June, and should continue to be a nice source for power in AL-only leagues as long as he stays healthy. He is hitting .313 (10-for-32) so far this month as well.

Marcus Thames went 1-for-2 with a homer and two RBI in Saturday's 9-3 loss at Pittsburgh.

Our View:Thames started the game in left field. The slugger has two homers over eight games since coming off the DL, and is worth targeting if you need help in the power department in AL-only leagues.

Marcus Thames went 1-for-1 with a solo homer and recorded the Tigers' lone RBI in Monday's 6-1 loss at Chicago in the nightcap of their doubleheader. Thames was used as a pinch-hitter.

Our View:Thames was activated from the DL today following his recovery from a strained ribcage, and it is encouraging to see him hit his first homer of the season. He crushed 25 homers in 2008, and the slugger is worth targeting for AL-only leagues if you are in need of power.

Marcus Thames has been activated from the DL following his recovery from a strained ribcage, according to the Associated Press. Jeff Larish was optioned to Triple-A Toledo as the adjoining move.

Our View:Thames launched 25 homers last season, and is worth consideration if you need help in the power department in AL-only leagues.
