Justin Duchscherer continues to shine. On Thursday night at hitter-friendly US Cingular Field, the A's right-hander pitched seven solid innings helping Oakland to a 3-2 win over the Chicago White Sox. Duchscherer allowed two runs on five hits, walked two and struck out four in the win.

Our View:Duchscherer scored his ninth win of the season and continues to amaze with his transformation from reliever to starter. The two runs allowed raised his ERA from 1.91 to 1.96.

Justin Duchscherer lowered his ERA from 1.99 to 1.91 and became the majors' ERA leader, but he received no offensive support in a 1-0 loss to the Giants on Saturday night.

Our View:The A's right-hander has allowed two or fewer earned runs in 12 of his 13 starts. What he has done in the first three months of the season is a complete aberration of his career peripherals. Sell high -

Oakland and San Francisco will match up in the continued Battle for the Bay this evening, each sending their best arms to the mound to wage war for the evening, according to the Sports Network. The A's will send reliever-turned-starting phenom Justin Duchscherer for the events of the evening while the Giants counter with RHP Tim Lincecum.

Our View:Duchscherer is currently 8-4 on the year and is boasting an amazing ERA of 1.99. He's riding a four-game win streak and has not allowed more than three earned runs in each of his 13 starts this season. At home, he's a monster, going 6-0 through six starts. Lincecum is 8-1 with a 2.54 ERA. However, he has not found a win in his last three starts despite allowing just seven earned runs over the past 41 1/3 innings.

Justin Duchscherer lowered his ERA to 1.99 on Sunday, and AL best, thanks to 7.2 innings of one run ball on his way to his eighth victory of the season for the Athletics. Justin is 4-0 in June and 6-0 at home.

Our View:Duchscherer has been spectacular this season and appears primed to be selected to the All-Star game as a starter after previously being selected as a reliever. Duchscherer can't possibly keep up this level of production, but that doesn't mean he wont continue to be a solid starter the rest of the way.

Oakland will push RHP Justin Duchscherer to the mound today, hoping he can garner his fourth consecutive win as they face the Florida Marlins, according to the Sports Network.

Our View:Duchscherer found his fourth win in five starts against Arizona on Tuesday, holding the Diamondbacks to one run on five hits through eight innings, now touting an ERA of 2.08. He has yet to face the Marlins in his career but is 5-0 with a 1.60 ERA in five starts at home.
