TSN is reporting that the Chicago White Sox have outrighted Wilson Betemit to Triple-A after he was designated for assignment on June 4. Betemit struggled with the Sox this season, posting a .200 average in 20 games.

Our View:Not a big shocker here. Betemit will work in Triple-A, and he will have to get his power stroke back if he wants to rejoin the Sox at any point this season. He doesn't promise to hold any fantasy value this year, so no need to monitor him while he is in the minors.

The AP reports that Wilson Betemit will be designated for assignment on Thursday in order to make room on the roster for Gordon Beckham.

Our View:Betemit came over from the Yankees in November and open eyes with a power surge throughout spring training. However, he hit only .200 in 20 games this season.

Wilson Betemit is slated to start at third base for tonight's home game against Oakland, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Our View:Josh Fields will be riding the pine after striking out three times Monday. He is still hitting fine overall, and Betemit is not replacing him.

Wilson Betemit will serve in the DH role for today's game against the Indians at Progressive Field, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Our View:Jim Thome is out of the lineup to rest. Betemit is hitting .281 this season over 32 at-bats and has some power. He is worth consideration for AL-only leagues if you have him on your roster.

Wilson Betemit will get the start at third base on Sunday,according to the Chicago Tribune. Betemit will be playing in place of Josh Fields, who has been struggling as of late.

Our View:Betemit hasn't seen much playing time so far his season, but if Fields doesn't start hitting he could begin to see more. Betemit has no fantasy value at the moment, but if he begins to play on a regular basis that would change.
