A decision on Rafael Soriano's suspension appeal is expected on Friday, the AP reports. Soriano was suspended four games last week for hitting Florida's Dan Uggla with a pitch. There's a decent chance we won't see Sorinao again this year, so look for Peter Moylan or Octavio Dotel to get a look in the ninth inning, as needed.

Rafael Soriano has allowed five earned runs with two blown saves in his last 3 1/2 innings, but Bobby Cox says he isn't worried, the AP reports. "Not really. He's throwing awfully hard," Cox said. "It's location. The same old thing. When the pitcher gets hit a little bit, it's generally location."

Rafael Soriano picked up his forth save of the year in Wednesday's win over the Padres, pitching a perfect ninth with two strikeouts. Soriano's been so sharp of late, you have to wonder how Bobby Cox will handle the bullpen even after Bob Wickman comes back.

Rafael Soriano could get a look in the closer role, along with Mike Gonzalez, now that Bob Wickman is on the disabled list with a sore back. It's unclear who will get the majority of the opportunities, although it wouldn't be surprising if they went to Gonzalez, considering he's got more experience in the role.

Rafael Soriano will make his spring debut today against the Yankees, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Soriano missed the first week of camp due to visa problems, and he's had his debut pushed back a couple times because of shoulder soreness. "A little sore shoulder," Cox said. "He's fine. [Just] got here a little late." However, the Braves have to be a bit concerned, considering Soriano had a stint on the DL last year with shoulder fatigue.
