Rafael Soriano has developed a shoulder problem in his rehab from Tommy John surgery, according to the Seattle Times. Manager Mike Hargrove indicated that the plan was for Soriano to throw a long-toss session yesterday, then go to Tacoma for a bullpen session. The idea was that if all went well, he would soon resume his rehab. However, while there was no official word on results of his sideline workout yesterday, indications were that it was not satisfactory.

Tests on the right shoulder of Rafael Soriano showed no damage, according to the AP. He returned to Seattle to see doctors after feeling discomfort earlier this week but is healthy. "Calling it a strain would be going too far," manager Mike Hargrove said. Soriano likely will return to the minors to continue a rehab assignment next week.
