Hank Blalock is believed to be around two weeks away from returning to the Rangers, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Our View:The source also said there is a possibility that he won't be back until the second half. This could prove to be true, if Chris Davis makes an impact right away at first base.

Hank Blalock has yet to return from the disabled list after re-injuring his right wrist, and he is upset with the doctor who cleared him to begin his rehab, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “I’d probably rather try somebody else. He told me seven to ten days and a month later it’s killing me,” Blalock said.

Our View:It is unknown when Blalock will be back, as he will have to be reevaluated upon the team's return to Arlington.

Hank Blalock's return has hit another speed bump, this according to the Dallas Morning News. The third baseman-turned-first baseman was out of the Triple-A Oklahoma lineup Tuesday for the second straight day because of a bruised right hand. Blalock will join the Rangers for a workout and then be re-evaluated. "If he makes some remarkable improvement, things could change," assistant general manager Thad Levine said. "But it was our desire for him to play [a full nine-inning game at first] when we sent him out, and it is still our desire."

Our View:Blalock has been out of action for two months is not expected to return to the active lineup before Thursday, but maybe longer. The Rangers would still like him to play a full nine innings at first base before being activated, but there is nowhere for him to play today.

Hank Blalock suffered yet another setback when he bruised his right wrist diving for a ball Sunday during the second game of a rehab assignment with Triple-A Oklahoma, according to the Star-Telegram. He was not in the Redhawks' lineup Monday, but the hope is that he can play Tuesday.

Our View:This latest setback is considered minor, but there is no timetable for Blalock's return. The Rangers had been hoping he would be back tomorrow.

Rangers corner infielder Hank Blalock will continue to see his work towards heath delayed, according to the Associated Press.

Our View:Blalock had been scheduled to be at Triple-A Oklahoma for rehab games this week, but was instead with the Rangers on Tuesday, fielding grounders and taking batting practice. Manager Ron Washington said Blalock was still experiencing problems with his hands following surgery May 30 for carpal tunnel syndrome. The former All-Star third baseman, who will shift to first base when he comes back, was originally on the 15-day disabled list since April 29 with a torn left hamstring. He recovered from that injury and was preparing for a rehabilitation assignment then before experiencing wrist soreness. Blalock is now scheduled to rehab with Oklahoma for three games starting Saturday. If all goes well, he will rejoin the Rangers for their series in Houston that begins next Tuesday.
