Chad Moeller was awarded the start at catcher on Monday, and recorded the Yankees' lone RBI in a 6-1 loss to Baltimore. He went 1-for-2 with a walk.

Our View:Moeller was a sole source of production for New York today, but he is still only hitting .207 over 29 at-bats in May.

April 30, 2008
With Jorge Posada on the DL the Yankees decided to bring back Chad Moeller signing him to a contract on Wednesday, according to the AP. To make room on the roster Chris Stewart was sent to Scranton Wilkes Barre.

Our View:Moeller was hitting .350 in 20 AB before the Yankees designated him for assignment, but with the placement of Posada on the DL the team was happy to be able to bring him back. Moeller will likely serve as the backup to Jose Molina until Posada returns.

Our View:Jonathan Albaladejo was called up from Triple-A Scranton and added to the active roster.

Chad Moeller is expected to make another start at catcher for the Yankees tonight as they battle the rival Red Sox, according to the Boston Globe. He will bat ninth in the order, and Jorge Posada will notably handle the DH role.

Our View:Moeller has one hit over six at-bats so far, with two walks and one run scored.

Chad Moeller is penciled in to start at catcher tonight against Tampa Bay, according to ESPN.com. As previously reported, his contract was purchased from Triple-A Scranton today. Jorge Posada remains limited by his shoulder strain.
