Fernando Rodney was activated from the disabled list on Saturday, according to Sportsticker. He had been out since June 24 with right shoulder tendinitis. Rodney tossed three scoreless innings in four games during a rehab assignment with Triple-A Toledo this week, and he should immediately go back into a setup role.

Fernando Rodney was able to throw off a mound Friday. He said he felt no pain in his ailing right shoulder and that rest had done the trick, according to the Detroit Free Press. He'll throw again Sunday and Tuesday before likely beginning a rehab assignment. It sounds like he could be back in the mix within a week or so.

Fernando Rodney pitched the ninth inning for the Tigers on Thursday night and picked up the save. The outing is notable only because Joel Zumaya pitched the eighth inning. While the consensus opinion among the fantasy community seems to be that Zumaya is next in line behind Todd Jones, the evidence does not support that assumption.
