The Braves placed Willy Aybar on the DL with a broken hand on Saturday, according to the AP. Aybar actually injured the hand on July 30, but has been playing through the pain. Regardless, Aybar would have lost out on playing time in the near future anyway, as Chipper Jones is expected to come off the DL on Sunday.

Willy Aybar should play every day at third with Chipper Jones on the DL, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Aybar was acquired Friday from Los Angeles, where he hit .250 with three homers and 22 RBIs in 43 games.

The Braves acquired Willy Aybar and Danys Baez from the Dodgers Friday in exchange for Wilson Betemit, according to the AP. Aybar hit .250 in 128 at-bats for the Dodgers this year.

To replace the injured Jeff Kent on their roster, the Dodgers recalled Willy Aybar from Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday, according to the LA Times. He hit .274 with three homers and 20 RBI in 106 at-bats before being sent down late last month. He could start at third base or second base.

"He will see a lot of action there," manager Grady Little said. "He's going to have a chance to show us what he can do." Aybar was hitting .358 with seven homers and 33 RBI before being recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas on Wednesday.

The Dodgers recalled Willy Aybar from Triple-A Las Vegas Wednesday to replace the injured Jason Repko on the roster, according to the AP. Aybar was hitting .358 with seven homers and 33 RBI with Vegas. He hit .326 with a homer and 10 RBI in 26 games with the big-league club last year. He'll serve as a backup at second and third base for the Dodgers.
