Orlando Hudson is on the Nationals' radar, according to MLBTradeRumors.com.

Our View:The Nationals have moved on to Hudson as a potential upgrade for their middle infield after missing out on elite first baseman Mark Teixeira. The Mets could pursue Hudson if they are able to unload Luis Castillo as well.
December 23, 2008
Orlando Hudson doesn't look like he will return to Toronto, according to MLB.com. "We're done," Blues Jays GM J.P. Ricciardi said. "We won't be spending any money."

Our View:It looks like the Jays will get to duke it out with the Orioles for fourth in the AL East in 2009. The Yankees have spent over $400 million, the Red Sox made the playoffs last year as the AL wild card, and the Rays won the AL pennant last year. The Jays will have a tough time competing with that without improving their club.
December 22, 2008
The Boston Globe reports that Blue Jays GM J.P. Ricciardi mentioned Orlando Hudson when discussing free agents recently.

Our View:The Blue Jays could certainly improve at second base, and Hudson is the best on the market.
December 20, 2008
Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports believes Orlando Hudson's likely destination is Chicago (AL).

Our View:This seems to be a bold prediction from Rosenthal as there previously hasn't been any mention of Hudson being high on Chicago's radar. Hudson would likely roam second base with Alexei Ramirez working at shortstop.
December 18, 2008
Fox Sports reports that second baseman Orlando Hudson (wrist) has been cleared by his surgeon to resume all baseball activities.

Our View:Hudson is the best second baseman on the market, but their has not been a lot of action up to this point regarding potential deals.
