Inge became expendable once the Tigers acquired Miguel Cabrera from the Marlins. A trade is the only way he'll get playing tim on a consistent basis. |

Inge left Tuesday's game early and didn't play Wednesday; X-rays on Wednesday revealed the small chip fracture in the toe. Inge has been told that the injury won't worsen if he plays on it, so as soon as the swelling subsides and the pain becomes manageable, he'll be on the field again, wearing a metal support in his shoe until the toe heals completely. |
