Hitting just .181 over his past 33 games, Brandon Inge was held out of the starting lineup yesterday, according to the Detroit News. Manager Alan Trammell said it won't be "more than a game or two" before Inge returns to the lineup.

Brandon Inge will be moved from the leadoff spot to the ninth spot in the order once Placido Polanco comes off the DL today, according to the Detroit News. Inge has hit just .193 since June 24. Polanco will move into the No. 1 spot, and if everyone stays healthy, he just may stay there for the rest of the year.

Inge has just 10 career at-bats in the leadoff spot, but manager Alan Trammell indicated that he has the capabilities to bat there.
