Brian Roberts returned to the lineup on Saturday night, and in his familiar leadoff role he went 2-for-4 with a runs scored.

Our View:Roberts, rumored to be headed to Chicago all preseason, has continued to be a productive force all year for the Orioles with 54 runs and 22 SB for the Birds.

July 1, 2008
Baltimore second baseman Brian Roberts continues to swing a hot bat for the Orioles, serving his team well in a 7-5 win over the Royals this evening. Roberts went 1-for-3 with a walk and his sixth home run of the season, also adding his 22nd stolen base of the year to total one RBI and two runs scored.

Our View:Roberts hit a whopping .342 through June with seven stolen bases and 12 RBIs. He's starting July with a bang as well and could be on track to another strong month.

Brian Roberts extended his hitting streak to 13 games with a 2-for-5 performance against Chicago, according to the Associated Press. He also scored twice in Baltimore's 11-4 victory.

Our View:Roberts has been scorching in June, hitting .357, with hits in 21 of the team's 23 games on the month. He continues to be one of the most productive second baseman in fantasy, and is closing in on the .300 mark for the year.

Brian Roberts stole his 21st base of the year while scoring a run on Sunday in the Orioles 7-3 loss to the Brewers.

Our View:Roberts continues to be a productive leadoff batter for the Orioles and he is on pace to easily eclipse the 36 SB mark for the third straight season.

The Orioles posted 15 total hits as a team this evening, turning eight into runs for the win, 8-7, over the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Orioles found their best efforts coming from leadoff man Brian Roberts , going 3-for-5 with two doubles, one stolen base (his 19th of the season), and two RBIs with one run scored.

Our View:Roberts certainly set the pace for the O's in the offensive explosion. He was hitting .357 for June coming in and now touts 11 RBIs for the same span.
