Eric Hinske hit a solo home run, his fifth jack of the season and fourth with the Yankees, on Monday.

Our View:Hinske's four home runs in pinstripes have come in just 15 at-bats. Meanwhile, his competition in right field, Nick Swisher, has hit just .206 with seven home runs in 204 at-bats since the start of May. This is definitely a situation to monitor, as Hinske could gain real fantasy relevance if he starts to play everyday in right field.

Eric Hinske is in the Yankees lineup and batting eighth against the Angels on Saturday, according to Newsday.

Our View:This is only Hinske's third start since coming to the Yankees. He should see an increase in power playing in Yankee Stadium, but won't play nearly enough to warrant any fantasy consideration.

Eric Hinske made a splash in his Yankees' debut on Monday, as he managed to go 2-for-4 with a solo home run. New York lost the game to the Blue Jays by a score of 7-6.

Our View:Welcome to the Bronx, Mr. Hinske. He powered a ball into deep right field in the bottom of the fifth off starter Ricky Romero, ending the rookies' scoreless innings streak at 24. The Yanks brought Hinske in to hit, and that's exactly what he did today. You still shouldn't expect much in the way of fantasy value, however.

Eric Hinske is set to make his debut in the Yankees' starting lineup on Monday. Hinske is penciled into the eighth spot in the order, and he will play right field.

Our View:Hinske hasn't done much at the plate so far this season, so it will be interesting to see if a new team and a better lineup will improve his numbers. He is not a fantasy option at this point, and unless he really starts tearing the cover off of the ball he doesn't figure to be a regular in the Yankees' lineup.

ESPN's Amy K. Nelson is reporting on her Twitter page that the Pirates have dealt Eric Hinske and cash to the Yankees in exchange for minor league right-hander Casey Erikson and outfielder Eric Fryer.

Our View:Hinske was having trouble finding innings while playing for the Pirates, so it seems doubtful he will make a huge impact with the Yankees. Hinske will probably be used as a situational pinch hitter, and he should still have no fantasy value.
