Player Notes
September 4, 2008
Updating an earlier story, Chipper Jones did indeed return to the lineup on Thursday night for the Braves after he awoke with little swelling in his injured knee, according to MLB.com. "I don't have any fluid in my joints," said Jones. The pain has subsided pretty quickly."

Our View:If you own Jones, activate him immediately, though don't be surprised if he visits the doctors office again before the season is through.

Braves third baseman Chipper Jones could return to the lineup on Thursday, as his injured right knee is healing, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Our View:Jones has had a very good year, but he has played in only 110 games. Still, fantasy owners have to be thrilled with the production he has provided in less than 400 at-bats.
August 31, 2008
Chipper Jones has another malady to add to the list he's been battling this season: right elbow tendinitis, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Our View:The number of injuries Jones has played through has made his great season all the more remarkable.
August 30, 2008
Chipper Jones went 2-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 9-8 loss to the Nationals. He hit a double and a solo homer.

Our View:Jones raised his average one point to .359, and still trails Albert Pujols, who went 4-for-4 against Houston tonight.
August 27, 2008
Braves third baseman Chipper Jones played in the 2,000th game of his career on Tuesday, according to ESPN.com. He has played each game of his career for one manager, Bobby Cox, and is the only player ever to do so.

Our View:Jones has arguably had a Hall of Fame career, and has the highest all-time batting average of any switch-hitter. He once again has delighted fantasy owners this season, and currently has a .357 average.
