Player Notes
August 2, 2008
Esteban German went 3-for-5 with three RBI in Saturday's exciting 9-7 win over the White Sox. He almost hit for the cycle, as he registered a single, double, and a triple.

Our View:This was another strong outing in his bid to earn more playing time with the Royals.
July 23, 2008
Esteban German has 11 hits in 22 AB in July leading manager Trey Hillman to comment that he will find more opportunities to get German's bat in the lineup, according to the Kansas City Star.

Our View:German owns a career .282 average and has been a useful fantasy performer in the past with a .326 average in 2006 an 11 SB in 2007. Don't look for him to become an everyday starter, but German might finally be at a place where he can be a nice play in AL Only leagues.
July 20, 2008
The Royals found a way to pull the 8-7 win against the White Sox today, using the bat of Esteban German to get the job done. German went 3-for-3 at the dish, hitting two doubles with one walk to post two RBIs and one run scored on the day.

Our View:This was the Royals' first series win at US Cellar field since 2003. The team tried to steal defeat from the jaws of victory, blowing two leads early in the game, but getting two runs off German's double in the eighth sealed the deal.
July 6, 2008
Esteban German went 1-for-3 with a pair of RBI, hence making him the lone source of scoring for the Royals in Sunday's 9-2 loss to the Rays.

Our View:German has been a decent reserve in larger AL-only leagues as of late, as he notched four RBI over his last seven games.
June 13, 2008
Esteban German is slated to lead off and play left field in tonight's interleague contest against the Diamondbacks at Chase Field. The everyday left fielder, David DeJesus, is on the bench.

Our View:With southpaw Doug Davis on the mound left-handed hitting DeJesus will be available to pinch hit.
