Luis Matos has signed a minor league deal with the Twins, according to the Star Tribune.

Our View:The 30-year-old outfielder hit .303 over 109 games with the Orioles back in 2003, but will only provide depth as a deep reserve if he manages to make the Twins out of spring training.

The Pirates have traded Luis Matos to the Mets for future considerations. The former Oriole has spent all of this season at Triple-A, where he hit .257 with three homers and 30 RBI for Indianapolis.

The Pirates signed Luis Matos to a minor league deal Tuesday, according to the AP. Terms were not disclosed. Matos had a .206 average with two homers in 69 games with the Nationals and Orioles last season.

The Nationals signed Luis Matos on Friday, according to the AP. Matos, who is a .256 career hitter, hit .207 with two home runs and five RBI in 121 AB before being designated for assignment earlier this season by the Orioles. He replaced Marlon Byrd on the roster.
