Our View:The 35-year-old reliever will get a fair chance to compete for a bullpen spot in spring training. He held a poor 4.02 ERA and 1.46 WHIP over 40.1 innings with Tampa Bay in 2009.

Our View:Nelson held a 4.02 ERA over 40.1 innings of relief with the Rays in 2009. The 35-year-old reliever wants to pitch for Chicago, as he believes he would help their young staff.
