Mark DeRosa went 2-for-3 with a run scored in Saturday's 8-7 loss to the Athletics in the Cactus League. He hit a single and a double.

Our View:DeRosa is 35, but looks to have another good season left in the tank. His wrist looks to be OK as well, evidenced by today's solid performance.

Mark DeRosa went 2-for-2 with a walk and a pair of RBI in Thursday's loss to the Mariners.

Our View:The super utility man can play almost anywhere, but it appears the Giants are most comfortable with him in left field right now. Last season's wrist injury slowed him early on in camp, but he appears to be healthy and ready to contribute now. His versatility makes him a nice late-round choice in fantasy leagues.

Mark DeRosa's surgically repaired wrist is "not a big issue," according to the San Francisco Chronicle's Hank Schulman.

Our View:He is expected to face live pitching this weekend for the first time this spring. Considering he is indeed coming off of a wrist injury, and playing in a pitcher friendly ballpark on a poor offensive team, you shouldn't be drafting DeRosa any higher than the upper middle rounds.

According to MLBlogs.com, super-utility player Mark DeRosa (left wrist) took live batting practice on Wednesday but only "tracked" pitches and didn't swing.

Our View:DeRosa is still recovering from offseason wrist surgery, but is expected to be able to fully participate in workouts soon. He should be ready for the start of the season, and if the wrist is completely healed, expect a bump in his numbers from last year, as the injury sapped some of his power and drove down his average.
