September 27, 2008 Gil Meche won his 14th game of the year for the Royals in their 4-2 win over the Twins. Our View:Meche might not have been a number one starter on many fantasy teams but he sure did contribute for fantasy owners. In 34 starts Meche won 14 games and struck out 183 hitters in 210.1 innings. |

September 22, 2008 Gil Meche picked up his 13th victory of the season on Monday night with six innings of two run ball against the Tigers. Our View:The 13 wins are the second best total of Meche's career (he had 15 in 2003), and with four strikeouts tonight he pushed his K total up to 176, a career best. Meche isn't likely to win many fantasy leagues, but he can certainly be a piece of a winning squad. |

September 17, 2008 Gil Meche pitched seven strong innnings against Seattle on Wednesday night to earn his 12th win of the seaosn. He allowed just two runs while striking out seven. Our View:Meche is an underrated starter when it comes to fantasy baseball. He now has 172 strikeouts in 198.1 innings and his ERA is down to 4.08. |

September 12, 2008 Gil Meche allowed six earned runs on Friday night against the Indians. It was his most since April 22 when he gave up eight to Cleveland. He is now 11-11. Our View:Despite the off night, this has been a good rebound season for Meche who has shown some consistency and the ability to get strikeouts. If the Royals ever start winning games, then his fantasy value would increase substanitally. IF! |

September 6, 2008 Gil Meche struck out 10 Indians in seven innings on Saturday night as he won his 11th game and his first since August fourth. He gave up just one run on three hits. Our View:In 10 starts since the All-Star break, Meche has a 2.83 ERA. All-in-all, this has been a good year for Meche, one making him worthy of fantasy consideration once again. |
