October 29, 2007
The Brewers designated Corey Koskie for assignment on Monday, 10 days after the team declined his $6.5 million, 2008 option, according to the AP. Koskie did not play in 2007 as he battled post-concussion syndrome. He intends to try to play in 2008, but he's unlikely to be anything more than a role player wherever he ends up.

Not surprisingly, the Brewers have declined Corey Koskie's option for 2008. He missed all of last season with post traumatic concussion syndrome.

Corey Koskie still is unable to do much physical activity due to post-concussion syndrome. "I just want to get my life back," he told the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. "Because every day I have some symptoms. Some days I can't drive, I can't play with them (his three sons). There's still a lot of daily activity where I can't live my life yet." He's not expected to return to action this season, and his career could well be over.

Corey Koskie might not be back in 2007. He is still dealing with post-concussion symptoms which first popped up in mid-July of 2006. "We're certainly running out of time. If he woke up tomorrow morning and said, 'I'm ready to go,' it's still going to be the end of July before he could participate," assistant general manager Gord Ash tells the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

The Brewers placed Corey Koskie on the DL Sunday, according to the AP. He is out indefinitely with post-concussion syndrome.
