Manager Lou Piniella said he wants to give Henry Blanco one start per week as the temperatures rise, according to MLB.com. Piniella wants to rest Geovany Soto a little bit more.

Our View:Blanco is 8-for-25 (.320) this season, but is not worth holding up a spot on your roster for just one start per week.

May 15, 2008
Henry Blanco will start at catcher for the Cubs today, according to the Chicago Tribune. Blanco will catch for starting pitcher Ryan Dempster, and will bat eighth in the Cubs' order.

Our View:Blanco is 7-for-21 in limited action this season, with one RBI. He is not worth fantasy consideration for one start, especially with Greg Maddux pitching today against San Diego.

Henry Blanco received his first start of the young season on Sunday. The Cubs coaching staff rested Geovany Soto and gave him a chance to practice his throwing motion to second base. Base stealers are 7-for-7 against Soto this season. Blanco was 1-for-4 in the win.

August 21, 2007
The Cubs activated Henry Blanco from the DL after Monday's game. Blanco has been on the DL with a herniated disc in his neck and also had to deal with a sore left shoulder. Koyie Hill was designated for assignment to make room on the roster.

Henry Blanco is dealing with a sore left shoulder and will add even more time to his minor league rehab stint. Blanco has been out since late May due to a herniated disc in his neck. Manager Lou Piniella tells the Chicago Tribune that Blanco is at least 10 days away.
