Our View:Blanco is 7-for-21 in limited action this season, with one RBI. He is not worth fantasy consideration for one start, especially with Greg Maddux pitching today against San Diego.
April 7, 2008 Henry Blanco received his first start of the young season on Sunday. The Cubs coaching staff rested Geovany Soto and gave him a chance to practice his throwing motion to second base. Base stealers are 7-for-7 against Soto this season. Blanco was 1-for-4 in the win.

July 8, 2007 Henry Blanco will begin throwing from behind the plate Sunday and manager Lou Piniella said he is close to being sent out for a minor-league rehabilitation assignment, the AP reports. Blanco has been on the 15-day disabled list since May 31 because of a cervical herniated disc. The Cubs haven't had any hitting from their catchers since Michael Barrett was traded, something Blanco (.224 career average) isn't likely to fix.
