March 11, 2010 Kevin Millwood was picked apart by the Twins on Thursday as he allowed five runs on nine hits and a walk over just 2.2 innings. Our View:The new "ace" of the Orioles staff has a tough road ahead of him. He has now been rocked in both spring starts and sports a horrendous 29.70 ERA to this point. He's been asked to be the veteran anchor of a young and inexperienced staff in the tumultuous AL East, so he's likely not much of a fantasy option anymore. |

March 6, 2010 Kevin Millwood got rocked in his first start of spring training on Saturday, allowing six runs off seven hits and a walk in just 0.2 innings against Detroit. Our View:We wouldn't read too much into this, although it's certainly not a positive sign given that pitchers are usually ahead of hitters this early on in spring. Hopefully Millwood will be able to bounce back in his next turn. |
