The Giants have reportedly inquired about Jacque Jones, according to the Chicago Tribune. Jones reportedly was not happy with how he was treated by the Wrigley Field fans in his first year with the club and reportedly wants to leave.

Jacque Jones disclosed yesterday that he has played through injuries to his throwing arm but hopes to avoid offseason surgery, according to the Chicago Tribune. "I'm not happy with the way I've thrown this year," he said. "I'm never going to lead the league in assists, but I played with a torn labrum and bone chips in my elbow. I've got to see what's going on with that."

Cubs trainer Mark O'Neal said the strained hamstring Jacque Jones sustained yesterday was "mild to moderate and right now I don't think" it will be serious enough for the disabled list, according to the Chicago Tribune. Results of an MRI should give a more definitive diagnosis, though. Angel Pagan is expected to start in place of Jones on Wednesday.
