Ramon Hernandez was a home run short of the cycle in Sunday's 8-1 beating the Reds laid down on Cleveland. He went 3-for-5 with three RBI.

Our View:Hernandez's average is dreadfully low this season (.246), but he does have 16 extra-base hits and 31 RBI, making him a serviceable fantasy catcher in most leagues.

Ramon Hernandez led the way for the Reds' offense on Saturday in their 4-3 extra inning win over the Cubs. Hernandez went 1-for-4 with a home run, a run, and two RBI.

Our View:Hernandez is hitting .271 on the year this season, but his power numbers just have not been there. He is a solid NL-only option, but his value in mixed leagues is low at this point and will stay there unless his power numbers increase.

Ramon Hernandez was given the day off on Wednesday, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Our View:Hernandez has been catching a lot of games and is feeling beat up, so the team felt it would help to give him a couple days off. With the off day on Thursday he'll get two in a row.

Ramon Hernandez had a big day at the plate on Sunday, going 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI as the Reds beat the Pirates 5-0.

Our View:Hernandez hasn't been great so far this season, but he had a nice game today. He could still be a sleeper as he has the potential to hit in Cincinnati, but right now his fantasy value is limited to NL-only leagues and very deep mixed leagues.

Ramon Hernandez is looking forward to a fresh start with the Reds, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. He said, "It's a new start with a new team in a new division. I'm very happy, very excited. I'm used to competing. When you get to June and you're already out of the competition, you get to the stadium and there's nothing to fight for."

Our View:The Reds expect him to benefit from a change of scenery. His power numbers should benefit the most while playing his home games at the Great American Ballpark.
