Derek Lowe threw five mediocre innings on Saturday, allowing six hits and four runs to the Blue Jays. He struck out two.

Our View:Lowe's spring ERA is now 5.25. While that is not cause for alarm in and of itself, you wish that number would be lower after his poor second half from last season.

Derek Lowe hurled four hitless innings in Monday's Grapefruit League game against Washington. He fired six strikeouts with no walks.

Our View:Lowe was dominant tonight, and looks to be perfectly fine while recovering from a blister on his right big toe. He held a poor 1.52 WHIP with Atlanta in 2009, but still managed to earn 15 wins.

Derek Lowe's blister on his right big toe has improved, and he has been deemed fit to take the hill Monday against the Nationals, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Our View:Lowe has been durable over the past several seasons, and made 34 starts with Atlanta in 2009. There shouldn't be any concern, health-wise, with the 36-year-old hurler as of now.

Derek Lowe's toe blister has improved and he's scheduled to throw a bullpen session tomorrow, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's David O'Brien.

Our View:Lowe is still in line to start for Atlanta on Monday. Hopefully he can begin to improve his effectiveness and start to convince fantasy owners that he's ready to bounce back from last season's poor performance.

Derek Lowe gave up three runs off five hits in the first inning to the Mets on Wednesday before exiting the game with a blister on his toe.

Our View:The blister is not expected to be a problem, though fantasy owners would certainly like to see Lowe look more effective this spring after his subpar campaign last year.
