Player Notes
May 14, 2008
Roy Halladay, who has been the victim of poor run support all season getting only 3.14 runs per outing, got four runs from a Matt Stairs grand slam in the top of the first and held on for his fourth victory of the season. The Toronto horse allowed four runs on nine hits, didn't walk a batter and struck out eight in 6.2 innings of work.

Our View:Halladay's ERA spiked to 3.49 and his workman like WHIP took a small bump north to 1.09.
May 9, 2008
Roy Halladay lost for the fourth time in five starts and fell to 5-1 in his career against Cleveland. Halladay had pitched four straight complete games before exiting after six frames in Friday's game.

Our View:The 2003 winner fanned nine and had a 1-0 lead until the seventh, when Travis Hafner and Ryan Garko each singled.
May 9, 2008
Roy Halladay will aim to even up his record to 4-4 when he takes the hill against the Indians tonight, according to MLB.com. Halladay is 3-4 with a 3.00 ERA and 0.98 WHIP over 57 innings, with only seven walks allowed.

Our View:Halladay is 5-0 in 10 career games against the Indians. He has only allowed one earned run in each of his last two starts, and he should remain in control tonight.
May 4, 2008
Roy Halladay improved his record to 3-4 in Sunday's 4-3 win over the White Sox. Halladay only allowed three runs on three hits over 7.1 innings, with seven strikeouts and no walks.

Our View:He lowered his ERA to 3.00 as well. He registered his highest strikeout total of the season today, and this was also the first start that he did not allow a walk. He earned his title of Jays' staff ace today.
