Placido Polanco went 3-for-8 with two runs scored and three RBI in the Tigers' 11-9, 16-inning win over the Twins on Friday.

Our View:Polanco, normally a hit machine, hasn't hit over .267 in any month this season. He should be limited to very deep leagues, as his .259 average and five home runs won't translate well anywhere else.

Placido Polanco went 4-for-4 in Friday's 3-1 win at Pittsburgh. He had two doubles and two singles.

Our View:He set a new game-high for the season with four hits, and raised his average to .297 in June. He is swinging the stick better after only hitting .255 in May.

Placido Polanco went 2-for-4 with three RBI in Tuesday's 7-6 win at Chicago. He hit a single and a double.

Our View:Polanco ended an 11-game skid without an RBI, and only has 24 for the season.

Placido Polanco provided a spark for the Tigers' offense on Saturday as they defeated the Angels 2-1. Polanco went 2-for-2 with a run scored and a stolen base in the win.

Our View:Polanco has been disappointing so far this season, and he is hitting only .252 on the year so far. There is still talent there, but Polanco seems to be past his prime. His fantasy value has taken a big hit, but he may still be serviceable in AL-only leagues.

Placido Polanco ignited the Tigers' offense on Wednesday as they beat the Royals 8-3. Polanco went 3-for-5 with a home run, a run, and three RBI.

Our View:Polanco is hitting .269 on the season, which is a bit low for him. He has never been a big power guy, but he is a good hitter who can contribute runs and some RBIs.
