According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Phillies are interested in making Placido Polanco their everyday third baseman.

Our View:Polanco, who won a Gold Glove this season at second base, says that he will move to the hot corner as long as he gets to play for a contender. The problem is he hasn't played there since 2005. Still, the Phillies think the move will work and feel that a reunion with the 34-year-old Polanco would be promising. Adrian Beltre and Mark DeRosa are also on the team's radar.

Placido Polanco may have played his last game as a Tiger, according to MLive.com.

Our View:"No matter what happens, Placido Polanco has been a wonderful player and person," Tigers GM Dave Dombrowski said on Thursday. Polanco has been with the Tigers since midseason 2005, rapping over 800 hits and hitting above .300.

Placido Polanco will not be starting for the Tigers in their series finale against the Twins on Thursday. Polanco will be replaced by Ramon Santiago at second base.

Our View:Polanco has had a very nice month of September at the plate, but he will be on the bench for the big game today. He is an important part of the Tigers' squad, and they will need him to stay hot going into the postseason.

Placido Polanco was productive in tonight's 2-0 loss at rival Chicago, as he went 3-for-4 with three singles.

Our View:Polanco accounted for three of the Tigers' six hits in the shutout loss. He has a six-game hitting streak, and is batting .379 this month.
September 20, 2009
Placido Polanco went 2-for-4 with a run scored and three RBI on Sunday in the Tigers' 6-2 win over the Twins. Polanco is hitting .283 on the season.

Our View:Polanco has six hits over the last two days, and he is starting to look more like the hitter baseball fans have come to expect. He has been on fire in September, so if ou need an average boost he would be a good bet.
