Emil Brown has started to produce now that he’s getting regular playing time. “I’m trying to get my timing back,” Brown told the Kansas City Star. “I’ve been in and out (of the lineup), and that’s slowed me down a little bit. Game speed is how you get ready.” Brown is eight-for-29 with seven RBI while starting the last six games in the outfield.

Emil Brown and the Royals have avoided arbitration, according to the KC Star. He signed a one-year contract with the team on Tuesday, though terms of the deal were not released.
