Player Notes
February 1, 2010
Kevin Millar has signed a minor league deal with a Cubs that includes an invite to spring training, according to ESPN's Jerry Crasnick.

Our View:Millar might find it tough to crack Chicago's roster. They already have Derrek Lee at first base, Micah Hoffpauir as a top bat off the bench, and four capable outfielders in Alfonso Soriano, Kosuke Fukudome, Marlon Byrd and Xavier Nady.
July 23, 2009
Kevin Millar was 2-for-4 with a home run and a pair of RBI in the Blue Jays' 5-4 loss to the Indians on Thursday.

Our View:Millar has just five homers and 24 RBI this season, and doesn't see enough action to be considered in fantasy leagues. He started out hot with a .343 average in April, but since then has failed to hit above .218 in any other month this season.
May 19, 2009
Kevin Millar provided all of the offense for the Blue Jays on Tuesday as his team fell to the Red Sox 2-1. Millar went 1-for-3 with a solo home run.

Our View:Millar is hitting an even .300 on the year, but he hasn't shown much power. His fantasy value is pretty slim unless he starts hitting bombs on a more regular basis. Stay away from him until he shows he can be a run producer.
May 18, 2009
Kevin Millar went 2-for-3 with a solo homer in Monday's 3-2 win over the White Sox at the Rogers Centre. His other knock was a single.

Our View:Millar snapped a 14-game drought without a home run. He also collected his 13th RBI and raised his season average to .299.
March 13, 2009
Kevin Millar was 1-for-3 with an RBI in Toronto's victory over the Rays Friday. He is hitting .313 with seven runs batted in this spring.

Our View:Millar is having a fine preseason so far and should be able to accrue a decent number of at-bats at DH and in spot starts at first if he makes the team out of spring training.
