Player Notes
June 18, 2008
Kevin Millar singled in the game-winning run in the 10th inning, and the Baltimore Orioles handed the Houston Astros their seventh straight loss, 2-1 on Wednesday night.

Our View:Millar appears to be fully recovered from a bruised left knee that limited this past weekend.
June 13, 2008
Kevin Millar is nursing a bruised left knee and is walking with a slight limp but is still expected to serve as DH in Friday's game against the Pirates, according to the Baltimore Sun.

Our View:He is only hitting .249 but blasted 11 homers and collected 34 RBI over 65 games, with 36 runs scored. Three of his home runs have been recorded in June.
June 12, 2008
Kevin Millar was forced from the Orioles and Red Sox game on Thursday with a left knee contusion, according to the Associated Press. X-rays were negative and he is being listed as day-to-day.

Our View:Oscar Salazar entered the lineup though Millar's presence will be sorely missed if he is out for any length of time, both for his attitude and recent performance on the field that includes three home runs and nine RBI in his last 10 games.
June 1, 2008
Kevin Millar is dealing with a strained right hamstring and bruised left shin, but he doesn't want to take time off. "He's the manager, but I'll resist it if it's because of the hamstring," Millar tells the Baltimore Sun. "I'm 100 percent fine. Dave (Trembley) knows I'm 100 percent fine." The veteran admits he hasn't been able to run at full speed since straining his hamstring about 10 days ago.

Our View:Millar's game isn't at all about speed, and he hasn't suffered too much at the dish. We won't be surprised if he's out of the lineup a little bit in the near future, though.
May 27, 2008
It wasn't easy, but Baltimore used every bit of 11 innings, including topping the Yanks' run with two of their own in the bottom of the 11th, to emerge 10-9 for the win. Baltimore first baseman Kevin Millar was the force of offensive reckoning for the O's, going 3-for-5 with a walk at the dish, hitting his fifth double of the season as well as two home runs on the night, totaling three RBIs and two runs scored.

Our View:These are Millar's first homers since May 20th, but he now carries 13 RBIs for the month of May.
