Mark Kotsay went 2-for-4 with a pair of singles in tonight's 7-0 loss to the Twins at U.S. Cellular Field.

Our View:Kotsay accounted for two of Chicago's eight hits in the game. He is hitting .378 over 45 at-bats this month.

Mark Kotsay went 4-for-6 with two RBI on Thursday, but couldn't will the White Sox past the Mariners, as Chicago lost 4-3 in 14 innings in Seattle.

Our View:Kotsay has been one of the White Sox best players this month, hitting .378 with three home runs and 12 RBI.

Mark Kotsay is slated to make his first start with the Sox (at first base) tonight at Minnesota, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Our View:Kotsay is starting as Jim Thome is nursing a back ailment. Kotsay is worth a look for tonight, but should only see enough action down the stretch to be useful for deeper fantasy leagues.

The White Sox have acquired the recently designated for assignment Mark Kotsay from the Boston Red Sox for outfielder Brian Anderson and cash, according to MLB.com's Noah Coslov.

Our View:Kotsay was not awful for the Red Sox this season, but had become expendable with the recent additions of Adam LaRoche and Chris Duncan. He will play much the same role for the White Sox, utility outfielder, as he did for the Red Sox.

According to a report in the San Francisco Chronicle, the Oakland A's have no interest in the recently released Mark Kotsay. Kotsay is still a favorite within the organization from his previous time there, but sources say there is no interest in bringing him back.

Our View:As much as the A's like Kotsay, they feel they have young outfielders who need to play, and Kotsay would only limit their chances. Kots is a nice utility outfield option, and he should catch on with someone before long. Don't expect him to make a huge impact, but he will be a nice bat off the bench when he signs elsewhere.
