Player Notes
August 14, 2008
Aaron Boone has been activated from the DL following his bout with a left calf strain, according to the AP. He missed 30 games since being placed on the DL July 6 with the injury. To make room for him on the roster, Washington placed shortstop Alberto Gonzalez on the 15-day DL.

Our View:Boone could see regular at-bats the rest of the season with Dmitri Young dealing with diabetes, but will likely only perform well enough to make him usable in deeper NL-only leagues.

Aaron Boone was placed on the 15-day DL with a left calf strain, according to Nationals.com.

Our View:Boone is not a viable fantasy player right now, as he has just 17 RBI in over 163 at-bats and 71 games played.
June 20, 2008
Aaron Boone was a late scratch on Friday night due to lingering soreness in his knee, according to MLB.com. "It's just a little banged up from the last couple of days," Boone said. Kory Castro started in his place.

Our View:Boone felt that this was simply some minor irritation and that he should be ready to go soon, possibly before the end of the weekend.
June 15, 2008
Aaron Boone, who returned to action as a defensive replacement on Saturday night, is back in the starting lineup at third base. Boone is hitting seventh in the batting order.

Our View:Boone has been limited due to a strained neck that he suffered on Thursday.
June 15, 2008
Aaron Boone, who has missed the past three games because of a stiff neck, was able to take batting practice in the cage and on the field on Saturday afternoon and eventually enter the 5-2 Nationals win over the Mariners as a replacement on Saturday night. Ronnie Belliard has been starting at third baseman with Ryan Zimmerman on the disabled list.

Our View:Boone is expected to be available today but there has been no information yet as to whether he will start.
