Bartolo Colon has been rehabbing his partially torn rotator cuff in Arizona and will return to California in the coming days to be examined by team orthopedist Lewis Yocum, according to the AP. The team will determine the progress of Colon, who isn't expected to throw until December. "It's the next step, but it's down the road," manager Mike Scioscia said of Colon throwing. Bartolo Colon believes that he will be healthy in time for spring training in 2007. "I feel confident that everything is going to be fine," said Colon, who has a partial tear in his right rotator cuff. "There's no magic wand to say you're going to be cured in so much time. But I think the most important thing is up to me, to continue to work hard and do what I need to do. It's something I've never gone through before, but I'm not really fearful or scared about the time that it's going to take. I know that I'm going to work hard to make it go right."

However, Colon is expected to be at full strength for the 2007 season.

And with about seven weeks left in the season, it would seem doubtful that he's going to return."
