The Cubs traded Mark Bellhorn to the Rockies in exchange for Jose Hernandez on Thursday night. The Rockies also acquired minor league pitcher Travis Anderson. Bellhorn is hitting just .209 (.332 OBP) with two homers and 22 RBI this year. Much more was expected from him after he broke out with a .258-27-56 season last year. It\'s unclear what exactly his role will be for the Rockies for now.

Manager Dusty Baker has been holding Mark Bellhorn out of games in an attempt to get the third baseman\'s head straight, and the strategy appears to have finally paid off. Bellhorn went 2-for-2 with a double and three RBI in Friday\'s game, raising his average to .222.
