TSN is reporting that the Giants have activated infielder Rich Aurilia from the bereavement list. He was out while attending the funeral of his father.

Our View:Aurilia has not been good this season, and he warrants no fantasy consideration going forward. His best years are behind him, and there are plenty of other more appealing options out there.

Updating a previous report, the Giants have officially placed Rich Aurilia on the bereavement list, according to the San Jose Mercury News.

Our View:Aurilia will be attending his father's funeral. He stands to miss about four games. Travis Ishikawa will start in his place.

Rich Aurilia will go on the bereavement list this Sunday in order to attend the funeral of his father, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

Our View:He could be out up to four days. Aurilia is batting just .202 in 89 at-bats this season, so he won't be missed in your fantasy lineup. Our thoughts go out to his family, though.

Rich Aurilia had a solid night at the plate as he went 2-for-3 with an RBI in Thursday's 4-1 win at Washington in the bottom half of their doubleheader. Both of his knocks were singles.

Our View:Aurilia is hitting well right now, as he notched two hits and an RBI in each of his last two games. He only hit .220 in May, and has a .221 average for the season.

Rich Aurilia drove in the only run of the game in the Giants' ten-inning win over the Rockies on Sunday. He singled in the winning run in his only at-bat of the game.

Our View:Good for Rich Aurilia. Walk-off winners are great. Unfortunately they don't mean much to fantasy owners, especially when they come from platoon players who are hitting .200 on the season.
