Jorge Posada hasn't been successful in throwing out runners trying to steal, and the team has taken notice, according to New York Newsday. "We're staying with three catchers for a reason, because we're still evaluating how he's coming through this," Yankees general manager Brian Cashman said.

Our View:The arm issue doesn't seem to be impeding Posada's offensive capabilities, which is the primary concern for fantasy owners. The longtime backstop is still hitting .293 and though he only has three home runs, is a viable fantasy option.

Jorge Posada got through his first game in over a month on Thursday. His reward? A day off Friday. "He did fine," manager Joe Girardi said on MLB.com. "It's just that it was one of our patented four-hour games." Girardi went on to say: "I think for the next couple of weeks, you're not going to see him play four or five days in a row, but I think we'll get by that."

Our View:It makes sense that the Yanks will be easing Posada back into things, even though his fantasy owners probably won't like it.
June 5, 2008
Jorge Posada is in the Yankees' starting lineup today against the Blue Jays, according to the AP. He has spent more than five weeks on the DL with his shoulder injury.

Our View:Posada has not played in a game for the Yankees since April 26. He will bat sixth in the order in his first game back. He should be safe to return to your roto-lineups.
June 5, 2008
Jorge Posada is back in action for the Yankees, but it has been revealed that he is not fully healthy, according to the NY Post. He is capable of playing, but determined that he will undergo labrum surgery after the season. He said, "I don't think it's going to be 100 percent, but it's good enough. I think it's good enough to get going here. There's no discomfort. Obviously something's messed up in there. We're going to have to get that fixed after the season."

Our View:That means Posada's shoulder status probably will hover over him the rest of the season, which has 101 games to go. Longer if the Yankees make the playoffs. Posada believes the shoulder will strengthen throughout the year, so it could become less of an issue, however. The Yankees will continue to keep three catchers until Posada proves ready to handle more than two-consecutive starts.
June 4, 2008
Jorge Posada didn't start in the Yankees Wednesday night win, but he will be in the starting lineup on Thursday. Posada, who been out since April 28 with right rotator cuff tendinitis, is slated to catch Chien-Ming Wang on Thursday in the series finale against Toronto.

Our View:Jose Molina owners need to find another option for their starting lineups next week. He will return to his backup role and see action once or twice a week.
