Edgar Renteria went 2-for-4 with a pair of singles in Monday's 4-0 loss at Florida.

Our View:The Giants only recorded three hits in the game. Renteria is yet to notch an RBI over six games this month, and is hitting .244 for the season. He is only worth employing in deeper NL-only leagues.

Edgar Renteria was 1-or-4 and drove in two runs in the Giants' 4-0 win over the Braves on Tuesday.

Our View:Edgar has struggled this season with his .246 average, but has driven in 22 on the year. He's a decent option in NL-only leagues, but his days of fantasy stardom are long gone.

Edgar Renteria was 2-for-5 with a double and two RBI as the Giants defeated the Braves 8-2 on Monday.

Our View:Renteria has just three hits since returning from a hamstring injury four games ago. The shortstop should gradually raise his average, and he is hitting in a friendly No. 2 spot in the Giants order. Keep an eye on him as he still carries a good enough bat to get red hot over the course of a month.

Edgar Renteria, who has missed this week with a sore hamstring, is back in the Giants lineup and hitting second for Friday night's game, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

Our View:Renteria has been good but not spectacular for the Giants this season. He is hitting .261 and has scored 16 runs.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Edgar Renteria will miss the Giants' weekend series against the Mets with a strained hamstring. The injury is not expected to land Renteria on the DL.

Our View:Keep Renteria out of your lineup this weekend and probably early next week as he recovers. It is good news that he won't have to go on the DL, but his fantasy value is limited to NL-only with his play so far this season.
