A specialist was unable to repair Tony Graffanino's injured right knee Monday with one procedure. He'll need another operation in three months to repair his torn ACL, which will take six months to heal, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. This makes it unlikely anyone will sign Graffanino, a pending free agent, over the offseason.

The knee injury that Tony Graffanino suffered in Wednesday's game could be serious. Graffanino suffered the injury when he landed awkwardly after jumping to catch Brad Hawpe's line drive to end the bottom of the first inning. He is flying back to Milwaukee to get an MRI on his right knee - the same knee he had surgery on in 2002 to repair a torn ACL, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. If Graffinino needs a stint on the DL, the club will likely recall Rickie Weeks.
