Our View:The Reds are set in their outfield, and would prefer a right-handed bat for the bench, and Jenkins is a lefty.

Our View:Jenkins would not hold much fantasy value with Cincinnati while serving as a reserve outfielder and left-handed bat for the bench.

Geoff Jenkins has been released by the Phillies, according to MLB-Blogs.com.

Our View:The club noted that he was on the trading block earlier in the month, but could not move him. He would have served as a fifth outfielder if the Phillies decided to keep him.

ESPN.com reports that outfielder Geoff Jenkins is available and that the Phillies would be willing to eat most of the $8 million that he is owed this season.

Our View:With the team putting more trust in Matt Stairs, Jenkins has fallen to a fifth outfielder role in Philadelphia. At 34, most of Jenkins' abilities appeared to have eroded in 2008, but a team may still be willing to roll the dice on him.

Geoff Jenkins blasted his first home run of the spring on Monday. He was 1-for-4 overall with a strikeout.

Our View:Jenkins is unlikely to play a major role in the outfield for the Phillies with Jason Werth, Shane Victorino, and Raul Ibanez all options for the defending World Champs. Jenkins still could provide some pop off the bench from the left side of the plate, but shouldn't have much fantasy value.
