Jeff Suppan was denied a win on Friday despite a strong performance. He held the Cubs to one run on four hits and two walks over seven innings, but the Brewers eventually fell in the tenth.

Our View:Friday's start was a nice rebound for Soup, who had allowed 12 runs in his last 10.2 innings. Still his start was against the anemic Cubs' offense, so don't get too excited yet.

Jeff Suppan was not good again on Sunday as the Brewers fell to the Giants 7-0. Suppan allowed five runs on nine hits while walking two and striking out three. He is 5-6 on the year.

Our View:Soup has not been very good this season, and his fantasy value is steadily slipping. He is a risky play in mixed leagues at this point, but he could still be a player in NL-only leagues.

Jeff Suppan wasn't sharp on Tuesday, allowing seven runs (four earned) in five innings as the Brewers lost 7-3 to the Twins.

Our View:Soup is now 5-5 on the season, and certainly no longer an everyday roster option. He could hurl a gem if the matchup is right, but should be started with the utmost caution.

Jeff Suppan allowed two earned runs on nine hits over 6.2 innings in Friday's 7-2 win over the White Sox at Miller Park. He had no walks with five strikeouts.

Our View:Suppan is pitching well as he won back-to-back starts, and has allowed two or less earned runs in each of his last three. He is worth employing in NL-only leagues in his next trip to the mound.

Jeff Suppan evened up his record at 4-4 with his 3-0 win over the Braves on Saturday. Suppan went 5.1 innings and did not allow a run on six hits while walking three and striking out two.

Our View:Nice performance by Soup tonight, and he now has four wins on the year. He doesn't strike many guys out, but he can be a decent starter when he pitches like he did tonight. He is probably not a mixed league candidate, but he is serviceable in NL-only leagues.
