Jimmy Haynes will not pitch again this season because of a bulging disc in his back, according to the AP.

Although Reds trainer Mark Mann said a decision on Jimmy Haynes will be made soon, all signs point to the bulging disc in his back forcing him to be done for the season, according to the Cincinnati Post. "We're getting close to a point where we will have to sit down with (medical director) Dr. (Tim) Kremchek about what is best for (Haynes), not only for the rest of this season but for next season," Mann said. "He's not going to throw until he's completely pain-free, but we're going to have to make a decision soon."

Jimmy Haynes is not close to returning from his lower back problem, according to the Cincinnati Post. "He hasn\'t started throwing yet," Reds trainer Mark Mann said. "He still has some stiffness and soreness in his back on rotation (of his torso). Until he is completely pain-free, he isn\'t going to throw or do any baseball activities whatsoever."
