Dmitri Young was outrighted to Triple-A Syracuse on Monday, according to the Associated Press.

Our View:Young had little fantasy value in 2008, and isn't likely to have much next year either.

Dmitri Young underwent an MRI on his left hip on Monday. He could miss the rest of the season. "Being out for the year remains to be seen," Young tells MLB.com. "I have been diagnosed with a strained left hip."

Our View:Young has managed a mere 150 at-bats this season after an All-Star 2007 campaign. The Nationals are likely to find a new first baseman this winter, and we don't see much value for Da Meat Hook moving forward.

Young is nursing a left quad injury and will see a doctor in the next few days, the Nationals' team website reports. There is no timetable for his return.

Our View:Returning before the end of the season seems unlikely for the first baseman.

Dmitri Young has had a rough year with injuries and when he thought he was going to make it back after getting his diabetes under control, he injured his back. After getting to the ball park on Tuesday he was finally able to rejoin the Nats, according to MLB.com.

Our View:Even though Young is finally back he will not have any fantasy value.

Dmitri Young has been activated from the 15-day disabled list, according to Nationals.com. He was put on the DL because he had trouble getting his diabetes under control.

Our View:Young has limited fantasy value, as he will probably play somewhat sparingly. Not to mention the fact that he offers little home run or RBI production.
