Phil Nevin needed an IV before Sunday's game, one of four IVs he received over the weekend to help fight a virus that has been going around the San Diego clubhouse. Nevin hopes to be fine Tuesday after an off day Monday.

Phil Nevin shifted to catcher during Sunday's game when Miguel Ojeda was forced to leave the game. Ramon Hernandez was back in San Diego with his wife, who gave birth on Saturday. Nevin is unlikely to get another game at catcher this season, but if your league's eligibility rules require only one appearance you've just gotten a nice bonus for the final month and a half of the season.
