Stenson continues to battle a wrist injury 10-23-2013
Henrik Stenson
Henrik Stenson is questionable to compete in this week's BMW Masters at Lake Malaren in Shanghai, China.
This is the first event of the new Final Series on the European Tour. Stenson hasn't played anywhere since securing the FedExCup with a victory at the TOUR Championship during which he played through soreness in his right wrist. The concern is that he hasn't felt an improvement from the discomfort. "I am hoping to get it sorted out over the next couple of days," he said on Tuesday, "but at the moment I'm not in great shape and I'm not certain of playing this week." After receiving treatment and having reportedly undergone an MRI, he participated in Wednesday's pro-am. Next week's WGC-HSBC is a co-sanctioned event on the PGA TOUR, so gamers will want to keep a close eye on his form at the BMW Masters. "It's very worrying," Stenson added, "especially as this will be the first week of a seven-tournament stretch for me."
