Chris Perry is listed in the preliminary field for the Senior PGA Championship on May 23-26.

The 51-year-old hasn't teed it up in a PGA TOUR-sanctioned event since 2006 due to injuries in his left hand, wrist and elbow. He was scheduled to compete in last year's Senior PGA but withdrew. Due to his age and hiatus, even if he doesn't return to action at Bellerive next week, we'll eventually remove him from our Injury Report.
Stankowski just short at HPBNC open qualifier 05-13-2013

Paul Stankowski turned in a 3-under-par 35-34=69 at The Lakes at Castle Hills in Lewisville, Tex., in today's open qualifier for the HP Byron Nelson Championship, two strokes too high to force a playoff for a berth into the tournament proper.

Since losing his PGA TOUR status at the conclusion of 2012, the two-time winner has been relegated to the Web.com Tour where he's cashed in just one of four starts this season. The HPBNC is a hometown event for the Dallas-area resident. He squared just one bogey today but mustered just four birdies. Other notables that failed to qualify include: 68--Bubba Dickerson ... 69--Chris Smith ... 71--Todd Fischer; Clark Dennis ... 72--Steve Allan ... 73--Will Strickler ... 75--Frank Lickliter II ... 76--Glen Day; Marc Turnesa ... 77--Robert Gamez.
Gangluff medals at Byron Nelson four-spotter 05-13-2013

With a 6-under-par 32-34=66 at The Lakes at Castle Hills in Lewisville, Tex., Stephen Gangluff medaled at today's open qualifier for the HP Byron Nelson Championship.

Gangluff buried an eagle and five birdies to offset one bogey to secure his first start on the PGA TOUR since losing his card at the end of the 2012 season. Zack Fischer, Jason Schultz and Bobby Massa shared runner-up honors, all signing for a 5-under 33-34=67. It's the third time Fischer has four-spotted this season; he missed the cut in his previous two starts (Valero Texas Open; Zurich Classic of New Orleans). Schultz had status on TOUR in 2006 and 2007 but made just one start since (T63, 2010 Byron Nelson). And in his only career TOUR-sanctioned start, Massa missed the cut at the WNB Golf Classic on the Web.com Tour a month ago. The 25-year-old University of Texas-Arlington product is a native of Irving. The field for the HPBNC is now complete at 156.
Imada cracks the field at TPC Four Seasons 05-13-2013

Ryuji Imada has been added to the published field of this week's HP Byron Nelson Championship.

Imada was the fifth alternate when the field was released on Friday afternoon. He gained entry on a sponsor exemption following two withdrawals this morning. The one-time PGA TOUR winner has survived just one of three cuts this year, but he's 6-for-8 at the Byron Nelson with a T3 just two years ago.

Bettencourt was the second alternate when the field was released on Friday afternoon. He gained entry in today's second wave of two withdrawals. He's 2-for-3 this season on the PGA TOUR and finished T18 at the 54-hole Stadion Classic at UGA on the Web.com Tour two weeks ago. He didn't cash in any of his first four trips to the Nelson (2009-2012) and hasn't broken 74 in eight rounds.

Stroud tied for 33rd place at THE PLAYERS in what his fourth consecutive week on the road. He's just 88th in FedExCup points, but he's exempt into next week's Colonial by virtue of his T13 in last year's edition. His record at the Nelson will remain 0-for-4 with three missed cuts and a withdrawal.

McCarron set for his fourth start of the year 05-13-2013

McCarron was the first alternate when the field was released on Friday afternoon. He gained entry thanks to two withdrawals this morning. He hasn't cashed in any of his three starts this season, but he's survived the cut in each of his last five appearances of the Nelson dating back to 2005. He still has 16 starts remaining on his Non-exempt Medical Extension to earn $647,510 and a promotion to the Major Medical category.

Jones missed the cut at THE PLAYERS, but he's enjoyed a nice season overall with 10 paydays in 13 starts to sit 69th in FedExCup points. He's eligible for next week's Colonial, so the surprise is if he doesn't return then.

The rookie ranks 41st in FedExCup points, so he's in no danger of slipping in the overall scene. At this time of year, early WDs are usually attributable to an updated personal agenda. The two tournaments following the Nelson are invitationals for which Guthrie has already qualified.
