|Falcons work out two free-agent QBs||11-19-2013|
|Trent Edwards QB OAK|
Free agent QBs Trent Edwards and Mike Kafka worked out for the Falcons.
Aaron Wilson on Twitter
|The Falcons lost No. 2 quarterback Dominique Davis to injury in Sunday's blowout loss to the Bucs. Edwards was part of the Bears' final cuts this summer, while Kafka spent training camp and preseason with the Jaguars.|
|Miles Austin to be the No. 2 WR in return||11-19-2013|
|Miles Austin WR PHI|
Bryan Broaddus of the Cowboys' official website believes Miles Austin (hamstring) is "your guy" as the No. 2 receiver when he returns this week.
Bryan Broaddus on Twitter
|Marcus Lattimore cleared to resume practicing||11-19-2013|
|Marcus Lattimore RB SF|
Marcus Lattimore (reserve/NFI, knee) was cleared to resume practicing on Tuesday.
|The move starts a 21-day window for the 49ers to activate Lattimore from the NFI list, though that's where he's expected to remain through the end of the season. Lattimore admitted last week that getting cleared to practice would be more about gaining piece of mind heading into 2014 than anything else. Lattimore is a strong "hold" in Dynasty leagues.|
|Burleson: 'There's a chance' I play Week 12||11-19-2013|
|Nate Burleson WR CLE|
Nate Burleson believes "there's a chance" he returns in Week 12 against the Bucs.
Detroit Free Press
|Burleson's tempered optimism comes one day after coach Jim Schwartz said it's a "possibility" he returns this week. The Lions have slow played Burleson's return, but it would be surprising if this wasn't the week he finally rejoins the Lions' starting lineup. He should be owned in 12-14 team leagues.|
|Jennings outdoing DMC in yards after contact||11-19-2013|
|Rashad Jennings RB NYG|
Rashad Jennings is averaging 3.4 yards after first contact, compared to 2.0 for Darren McFadden.
CSN Bay Area
|It's the main reason Jennings is averaging 5.16 yards per carry compared to 3.59 for DMC. "Very seldom does (Jennings) go down on first contact," coach Dennis Allen said. "There are runs in there that are two- and three-yard runs where there's contact at the line of scrimmage but the pile gets pushed forward. ... You want to gain a blade of grass on every single play, and we've done a better job of executing that over the last few weeks." Translation: Jennings has been schooling McFadden. DMC's hamstring is going to keep him sidelined for Week 12, regardless, but he's going to be returning to a timeshare whenever he finally gets back on the field.|
|Mike Wallace frustrated with his season||11-19-2013|
|Mike Wallace WR BAL|
Mike Wallace admits his season could be going "a lot better."
|Sam Bradford undergoes surgery on Tuesday||11-19-2013|
|Sam Bradford QB MIN|
Sam Bradford (injured reserve) underwent surgery on his torn left ACL Thursday.
Nick Wagoner on Twitter
|Bradford had originally been scheduled to go under the knife two weeks ago, but the operation was delayed for unspecified reasons. The extra two weeks shouldn't affect his 2014 status. Bradford can tentatively be expected to be ready for training camp.|
|Raiders waive pass rusher Martez Wilson||11-19-2013|
|Martez Wilson LB DAL|
|Raiders waived DE/OLB Martez Wilson.||Wilson was claimed off waivers from the Saints in October. Wilson has been active three times in Oakland, but had yet to make an appearance on the stat-sheet. The No. 72 pick of the 2011 draft is running out of chances.|
|Chiefs sign former Patriots DT Kyle Love||11-19-2013|
|Kyle Love DT CAR|
Chiefs signed DT Kyle Love to a one-year contract.
Adam Schefter on Twitter
|Rodgers running and throwing without issue||11-19-2013|
|Aaron Rodgers QB GB|
Aaron Rodgers (broken left collarbone) can run and throw without issue, but would be at risk of further injury if he suited up for Week 12.
|"I think the biggest issue is not the pain at this point," Rodgers said Tuesday. "It is the risk of taking a shot like that and what it would do if (the collarbone) displaced. Obviously, I'd be out for the season and worried about any type of complications going forward." Rodgers refused to officially rule himself out for Sunday's game, but referenced Dumb and Dumber ("so you're saying there's a chance") when talking about his odds of suiting up. Rodgers won't be active against the Vikings, and is 50-50, at best, for Green Bay's Thanksgiving showdown with the Lions.|
|Jimmy Graham still limited on Tuesday||11-19-2013|
|Jimmy Graham TE SEA|
Jimmy Graham (foot, elbow) remained limited in Tuesday's practice.
Larry Holder on Twitter
|The short week isn't ideal for someone playing through a painful plantar fascia injury, but Graham will be good to go against the Falcons after playing 51-of-69 snaps against the 49ers. He's fantasy's No. 2 tight end behind Rob Gronkowski.|
|Darren Sproles still limited on Tuesday||11-19-2013|
|Darren Sproles RB PHI|
Darren Sproles (ankle, knee) was held out of Tuesday's practice.
Larry Holder on Twitter
|It's a mild concern after Sproles got in a limited practice in Monday's session, but the Saints are likely just limiting his reps ahead of Thursday's game against the Falcons. He should be good to go after playing through the issues in Week 11. It's possible Sproles will end up a game-time decision. Getting out-produced by Pierre Thomas in the passing game of late, Sproles is a middling FLEX option in standard leagues.|
|Report: Dennard unlikely to play vs. Broncos||11-19-2013|
|Alfonzo Dennard CB ARZ|
The Boston Herald reports Patriots CB Alfonzo Dennard (knee) is expected to miss Week 12, and is without a timetable for a return.
|It's bad news for a Patriots team that will be hosting Peyton Manning and the Broncos on Sunday, and also dealing with injuries to Aqib Talib (hip) and Kyle Arrington (groin). Dennard injured his knee in practice last week, but the Pats have predictably provided few details. He's likely dealing with an MCL issue of some sort.|
|Melvin Ingram to resume practicing Wednesday||11-19-2013|
|Melvin Ingram OLB SD|
Chargers OLB Melvin Ingram (knee, PUP) will resume practicing on Wednesday.
Michael Gehlken on Twitter
|Ingram's return to the practice field starts a 21-day window to activate him from the reserve/PUP list. Ingram is just six months removed from tearing his left ACL, and will most likely remain stowed away on the PUP list before returning at full strength in 2014.|
|Dashon Goldson's suspension upheld||11-19-2013|
|Dashon Goldson SS ATL|
Bucs FS Dashon Goldson's one-game suspension has been upheld.
Jay Glazer on Twitter
|Goldson will miss Sunday's game against the Lions. Goldson got out of his last suspension, but was never going to be able to dodge this one. The league is tired of his illegal hits. Eligible to return in Week 13 against the Panthers, Goldson has not been playing at a high level this season.|
|Saints OLB Butler resumes practicing||11-19-2013|
|Victor Butler LB NYG|
Saints OLB Victor Butler (knee, PUP) has resumed practicing.
Mike Triplett on Twitter
|The Saints now have a three-week window to activate Butler. He's just four months removed from tearing up his knee, and is not expected to contribute this season despite today's news. Butler is signed through 2014. Provided he's healthy, he should earn a roster spot next summer. Butler was viewed as an ascendant player before going down.|
|Jets send reserve TE Konrad Reuland to I.R.||11-19-2013|
|Konrad Reuland TE IND|
|Jets placed TE Konrad Reuland on injured reserve with a knee injury, ending his season.||Reuland's lone target of the season came in Week 1. He had been playing sporadic snaps on special teams. The 2011 undrafted free agent will be an exclusive rights free agent in the offseason.|
|Colts waive wide receiver Griff Whalen||11-19-2013|
|Griff Whalen WR SD|
|Colts waived WR Griff Whalen.|
|Saints send starting CB Jabari Greer to I.R.||11-19-2013|
|Jabari Greer CB NO|
|Saints placed LCB Jabari Greer on injured reserve with a torn left ACL, ending his season.||Greer's injury had the looks of a season-ender from the start. Greer was not playing at a particularly high level before going down, but had been holding his own for the Saints' much-improved defense. In the second season of a four-year, $21.1 million contract, Greer has no guaranteed money remaining beyond 2013. Going on 32, he's due $4.4 million between salary and bonuses in 2014. He may have to be amenable to a pay-cut to keep his roster spot. Second-year pro Corey White will take Greer's place opposite Keenan Lewis.|
|Jacquizz Rodgers still limited on Tuesday||11-19-2013|
|Jacquizz Rodgers RB TB|
|Jacquizz Rodgers (ankle) remained limited in Tuesday's practice.||Rodgers' injury isn't believed to be more than a minor tweak, so he should be active for Thursday's game against the Saints. His status will be updated on Wednesday. Averaging just 7.5 touches for 41 yards from scrimmage over his past four games, Rodgers is little more than a desperation FLEX option.|
|49ers RCB Brown has 'at least' cracked ribs||11-19-2013|
|Tarell Brown CB NE|
NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports 49ers RCB Tarell Brown has "at least" cracked ribs, and is "likely going to miss time.
Ian Rapoport on Twitter
|Brown took a scary-looking hit near the end of the first half of Sunday's loss, remaining down for several minutes before being helped off the field. Brown has graded out positively in Pro Football Focus' ratings this season, but only narrowly so. Tramaine Brock will likely take Brown's place in the starting lineup if he misses Week 12, but recently activated Eric Wright is another candidate.|
|Bills part ways with reserve CB Justin Rogers||11-19-2013|
|Justin Rogers CB WAS|
|Bills waived CB Justin Rogers.|
|Reggie Bush disagrees with Schwartz||11-19-2013|
|Reggie Bush RB BUF|
Speaking Tuesday, Reggie Bush disagreed with coach Jim Schwartz's assertion that he wasn't a "mudder" who could have success in inclement weather conditions.
Dave Birkett on Twitter
|That was Schwartz's reasoning for benching Bush in a soupy Heinz Field on Sunday. Bush believes the "opposite" is true, and that the rough conditions would have helped him keep the Steelers "off balance." We strongly agree with Bush, despite the fact that he lost his footing 2-3 times before he was pulled. Bush has had success in soggy conditions before, and keeping one of your top playmakers on the sideline is always a recipe for failure. Bush is locked in as an RB1 for Week 12 against the Bucs.|
|Broncos send FS Rahim Moore to IR/recall||11-19-2013|
|Rahim Moore FS CLE|
Broncos placed FS Rahim Moore (lateral compartment syndrome) on injured reserve/designated to return.
Jeff Legwold on Twitter
|Moore's regular season is over, but he'll have a chance to return if the Broncos make the AFC Championship Game. Moore's injury - essentially internal bleeding in his leg - required emergency surgery early Monday morning. An every-down player before getting hurt, the 23-year-old Moore was in the midst of a workmanlike campaign. He was playing very well in coverage. Veteran Mike Adams will take his place in the starting lineup, while Michael Huff is taking his roster spot.|
|TEN not activating Kevin Walter from PUP list||11-19-2013|
|Kevin Walter WR TEN|
The Titans will not activate WR Kevin Walter (back) from the reserve/PUP list by Tuesday's deadline, ending his season.
Jim Wyatt on Twitter
|According to coach Mike Munchak, the Titans will "monitor Walter moving forward to determine if he's worth taking a chance on in 2014." The longtime Texan didn't play a snap for the Titans after signing in April. Going on 33 with a serious back injury to his name, Walter is going to have trouble drumming up interest in free agency.|
|Cardinals bring back CB Bryan McCann||11-19-2013|
|Bryan McCann CB WAS|
Cardinals re-signed CB Bryan McCann.
Darren Urban on Twitter
|WR Teddy Williams (Achilles') was placed on injured reserve in a corresponding roster move. Originally signed in April, McCann was released at final cuts. McCann has 29 games of NFL experience, and will contribute on special teams in the desert.|
|Brett Keisel dealing with plantar fasciitis||11-19-2013|
|Brett Keisel DE PIT|
Steelers RE Brett Keisel's foot injury is a case of plantar fasciitis, but coach Mike Tomlin believes he has a "legitimate opportunity to play" in Week 12.
|Per Tomlin, the same is true of OLB LaMarr Woodley (calf) and LG Ramon Foster (high-ankle sprain). Keisel had yet to miss a game this season before being inactive for Sunday's win over the Lions. He has 25 tackles and two sacks through nine games, and has graded out as the No. 25 3-4 end in Pro Football Focus' ratings.|
|Broncos sign S Michael Huff||11-19-2013|
|Michael Huff S DEN|
Broncos signed S Michael Huff.
Adam Schefter on Twitter
|Huff's three-year, $6 million deal with the Ravens was considered a nice bargain for the defending Super Bowl champs, but he struggled to get on the field in Baltimore. When he did, he performed poorly. Huff was waived in October. He'll be mere depth in Denver. Huff's signing is an indication Rahim Moore (leg) is headed to injured reserve. For now, Mike Adams is stepping in at free safety. Perhaps Huff will eventually push him.|
|Report: Broncos thought Welker had neck issue||11-19-2013|
|Wes Welker WR LA|
The Denver Post reports Wes Welker was initially allowed to play through his concussion in Sunday's win because the Broncos believed he had a neck injury, and didn't notice any signs of a possible concussion until a series later.
|The Broncos are taking heat for letting Welker check back in after getting concussed, but apparently didn't notice any symptoms during his initial evaluation. It's a bit hard to believe in this era of heightened concussion sensitivity, but far from impossible. Welker should be considered 50-50 for Sunday's showdown with the Patriots. His status will be updated no later than Wednesday.|
|Report: Panthers LE Johnson has sprained MCL||11-19-2013|
|Charles Johnson DE CAR|
Profootballtalk reports Panthers LE Charles Johnson has been diagnosed with a sprained right MCL, and is week to week.
Profootballtalk on NBCSports.com
|Johnson briefly played through the injury in last night's win, but was greatly hobbled. The Panthers' leading pass rusher can be safely ruled out for Week 12, and considered questionable for Week 13. In the grand scheme of things, it's a crisis averted for the Panthers, as Johnson appeared to have suffered a serious injury after getting leg whipped by Marcus Cannon.|
|Lions bring back Dorin Dickerson||11-19-2013|
|Dorin Dickerson WR TEN|
Lions re-signed TE/H-Back Dorin Dickerson.
Tim Twentyman on Twitter
|He's taking the roster spot of FB/RB Montell Owens, who's headed to injured reserve. Dickerson will contribute on special teams.|
|Lions send FB/RB Montell Owens to I.R.||11-19-2013|
|Montell Owens RB CHI|
Lions placed RB/FB Montell Owens on injured reserve with a knee injury, ending his season.
Tim Twentyman on Twitter
|Owens came off injured reserve/designated to return in Week 9, but went down again in Week 10. He was inactive for Sunday's loss to the Steelers. A special teams standout, Owens is signed through 2014, but will have to prove he's healthy to have any shot at keeping his roster spot.|
|Broncos expected to sign free agent S Huff||11-19-2013|
|Michael Huff S DEN|
The National Football Post's Aaron Wilson reports the Broncos are expected to sign free agent S Michael Huff.
Aaron Wilson on Twitter
|Per Wilson, the Broncos worked out Huff, Tyler Sash and John Boyett on Tuesday. It's a sign FS Rahim Moore (leg) will be placed on injured reserve. Cut by the Ravens last month, Huff struggled mightily in 97 snaps in Baltimore, and wouldn't be a candidate to start in Denver.|
|'No doubt' DeMarcus Ware (quad) will play||11-19-2013|
|DeMarcus Ware OLB DEN|
Speaking Tuesday, DeMarcus Ware (quad/thigh) said there was "no doubt" he'll be ready for Sunday's game against the Giants.
Clarence Hill on Twitter
|When last we saw Ware in Week 10, he was dragging his leg against the Saints, but he never checked out of the game. Dallas' bye week came at a good time for its top pass rusher. Ware likely still isn't 100 percent, but he'll be active and starting against the G-Men.|
|Vick expects to be 'completely healthy'||11-19-2013|
|Michael Vick QB PIT|
Michael Vick (hamstring) expects to be "completely healthy" coming off the Eagles' Week 12 bye.
Jeff McLane on Twitter
|Coach Chip Kelly conceded Monday that Vick "probably" could have played Sunday, so it's not a surprise. Either way, Vick isn't getting the Eagles' starting job back from Nick Foles. The Eagles are 4-1 in games started by Foles this season, compared to 2-4 with Vick.|
|Tony Gonzalez still not practicing Tuesday||11-19-2013|
|Tony Gonzalez TE ATL|
Tony Gonzalez (toe) remained out of Falcons practice Tuesday.
Vaughn McClure on Twitter
|The short week has to be a literal and figurative pain for Gonzalez, but we fully expect him to suit up against the Saints after escaping Sunday's loss without setbacks. Gonzalez should be listed as "questionable" on Wednesday's injury report. In a worst-case scenario, he'll end up a game-time decision, but even that isn't a major issue with Atlanta playing in the Thursday night game. Owners can keep Gonzalez penciled in as a mid-range TE1.|
|Mike Pouncey is trying to avoid surgery||11-19-2013|
|Mike Pouncey C MIA|
Doctors are trying to avoid gallbladder removal surgery on Dolphins C Mike Pouncey.
Jeff Darlington on Twitter
|Pouncey is hoping that medicine can cure his symptoms so he can return to the field sooner. For now, consider him week to week. It leaves the Dolphins without 60 percent of their starting offensive line.|
|Bucs sign FB Pryor off Jags' p-squad||11-19-2013|
|Lonnie Pryor RB TB|
Bucs signed FB Lonnie Pryor off the Jaguars' practice squad.
Ryan O'Halloran on Twitter
|With Brian Leonard taking on some more base work in the backfield, the Bucs add a lead-blocking prospect. Pryor, an undrafted rookie out of Florida State, can help on special teams and did rush 124 times for 718 yards with 18 touchdowns in his Seminoles career.|
|Emmanuel Sanders expected to play||11-19-2013|
|Emmanuel Sanders WR DEN|
Coach Mike Tomlin confirmed that Emmanuel Sanders (foot) is expected to play in Sunday's game against the Browns.
Scott Brown on Twitter
|Tomlin said Sanders will be limited in practice this week, but should be fine to suit up come Sunday. It's a decent spot for the No. 2 wideout as Joe Haden figures to see a lot of time on NFL reception leader Antonio Brown. Consider Sanders a borderline WR3.|
|Harry Douglas a 'silver lining' for Falcons||11-19-2013|
|Harry Douglas WR TEN|
Matt Ryan called the play of Harry Douglas a "silver lining" in the Falcons' lost season.
Vaughn McClure on Twitter
|A natural slot receiver without true difference-making ability, Douglas has expanded his game in two-wide sets and excelled. Over the last five games, he's averaging 7.0 catches for 107.0 yards with two touchdowns. The Falcons figure to be in comeback mode once again in Thursday night's game against the Saints, so we can confidently expect the opportunities to be there. Douglas is a fine WR3.|
|Mychal Kendricks practices Tuesday||11-19-2013|
|Mychal Kendricks OLB PHI|
Eagles ILB Mychal Kendricks (knee) is practicing Tuesday.
Geoff Mosher on Twitter
|Kendricks didn't practice at all last week due to a knee injury and missed Sunday's game against the Redskins. He's considered day to day and should return when the Eagles come out of their bye in Week 13.|
|Craig Robertson dealing with knee injury||11-19-2013|
|Craig Robertson MLB NO|
Browns ILB Craig Robertson suffered a knee sprain in Sunday's loss to the Bengals.
|Robertson underwent an MRI on Monday and could miss practice time this week. Tank Carder replaced Robertson on Sunday and would likely draw the start opposite D'Qwell Jackson if he misses time.|
|Ray Graham works out for Steelers||11-19-2013|
|Ray Graham RB HOU|
Free agent RB Ray Graham worked out for the Steelers Tuesday.
Ed Bouchette on Twitter
|Graham was waived by the Texans last week. He wouldn't be a candidate for backup duties behind Le'Veon Bell if signed, but could provide depth as the No. 4 running back. Graham went undrafted out of Pitt this offseason and has practice squad eligibility.|
|Stevie Johnson will be ready after the bye||11-19-2013|
|Stevie Johnson WR SD|
Stevie Johnson (groin) said he'll "definitely" be ready to play following the Week 12 bye.
|Johnson will stay in Buffalo through the week off to get rehab work in. "I'll definitely be suited up," he said. "I think I'll be much better than what I was this past week." Johnson will return for a dream matchup against the Falcons reeling defense. His health -- along with the possible return of Robert Woods (ankle) -- takes some of the shine off a Marquise Goodwin add.|
|Charles Johnson headed for MRI on knee||11-19-2013|
|Charles Johnson DE CAR|
Panthers LE Charles Johnson is headed for a Tuesday MRI on his knee.
Charles Johnson on Twitter
|Johnson's injury originally looked bad as he got leg-whipped by Patriots tackle Marcus Cannon and had to be carted off. But Johnson, the Panthers' $76 million man, did get back on the field for the final series. That suggests this MRI is just precautionary. Johnson leads the Panthers with 8.5 sacks this season.|
|David Nelson to replace Hill in lineup?||11-19-2013|
|David Nelson WR PIT|
David Nelson is expected to replace Stephen Hill in the Jets starting lineup.
ESPN New York
|Hill, a size/speed freak the Jets traded up to nab with the 43rd overall pick in 2012, is losing his job to a former undrafted free agent coming off a torn ACL. Nelson won't have any fantasy upside as Geno Smith and the Jets' ground-n-pound scheme can barely support one wideout.|
|Emmanuel Sanders says injury isn't serious||11-19-2013|
|Emmanuel Sanders WR DEN|
Emmanuel Sanders said the foot injury he sustained in Sunday's win over the Lions is not serious.
|Sanders left in the second quarter and didn't return, but said he won't even need an MRI. He added that the trainers held him out because of the wet field. "I could have went back in," he said. It sounds like Sanders is a decent bet to suit up against the Browns this week. The low-end WR3 is averaging 4.2 catches for 50.9 yards with two touchdowns on the season.|
|McCoy says Keenan Allen will be playing||11-19-2013|
|Keenan Allen WR SD|
Coach Mike McCoy said Keenan Allen (knee) "will be playing" in Week 12.
|Allen sustained what appears to be a mere hyperextension in the loss at Miami Sunday, missing the final couple drives. "He's fine," McCoy said. "He'll be playing, which is great." Allen has cooled off over the last two weeks, totaling just seven catches for 86 yards with no touchdowns. Still, he's the No. 1 wideout in a very effective passing game.|
|Trent Richardson: 'I've been playing good'||11-19-2013|
|Trent Richardson RB BAL|
Trent Richardson said he's "not frustrated at all" because "I think I've been playing good."
|Both Richardson and coach Chuck Pagano are blaming the offensive line for T-Rich's 2.83 YPC as a Colt. "You look at Trent's runs, for whatever reason, there's penetration (by defenders)," Pagano said. "You feel bad. A guy gets the ball handed off to him and all of a sudden, there's a guy sitting there for whatever reason." Of course, Donald Brown has found far fewer defenders in his way as he's averaged 6.10 YPC since T-Rich joined the team. As Pagano showed last Thursday night, he's going to go with the hot hand. We have little reason to believe Richardson will get warm anytime soon.|
|Miles Austin ready to return from hammy pull||11-19-2013|
|Miles Austin WR PHI|
Speaking Tuesday, Jerry Jones said Miles Austin (hamstring) is ready to play.
Calvin Watkins on Twitter
|Allen on Rashad: He'll get his touches||11-19-2013|
|Rashad Jennings RB NYG|
Coach Dennis Allen reiterated Monday that Rashad Jennings will remain a big part of the offense even once Darren McFadden (hamstring) returns.
Contra Costa Times
|McFadden is planning on testing his hamstring out Tuesday to see whether he can return to practice Wednesday. Given his history, we wouldn't be too optimistic. Either way, Jennings is playing far too well to take off the field. "He's earned the right to carry the ball," Allen said. "Whether he starts or doesn't start, I don't think that's really much of a factor. He's going to get his touches." Over the last three weeks, Jennings has rushed 57 times for 340 yards (5.96 YPC) with two touchdowns and added 11 catches for 91 more yards.|
|Stevan Ridley played six snaps after fumble||11-19-2013|
|Stevan Ridley RB ATL|
Stevan Ridley played six snaps after his second quarter fumble in Monday night's loss at Charlotte.
|The fumble was Ridley's eighth since the final game of the 2011 season. But owners should be encouraged that he wasn't completely benched, getting critical carries deep in the tight game. It's a sign that coach Bill Belichick realizes the gap between Ridley and LeGarrette Blount is wide despite the butterfingers. We'd expect Ridley to start and handle a majority of the base work against the Broncos in Week 12.|
|Shanny backs Josh Morgan||11-19-2013|
|Josh Morgan WR NO|
Coach Mike Shanahan gave disgruntled WR Josh Morgan a vote of confidence Monday.
|Morgan was a healthy scratch in Week 11 and took a shot at Shanahan after the game. But with Leonard Hankerson (knee) down, the Skins know they'll need Morgan at the "Z" receiver spot. "I've got a lot of belief in Josh Morgan," Shanahan said. "I have a lot of confidence in Josh that he'll come back strong and help us this week as a receiver." Morgan is likely to share time with Aldrick Robinson and will also block a ton. He's not worth a fantasy add in most formats.|
|Dez: Cowboys working on double-team beaters||11-19-2013|
|Dez Bryant WR DAL|
Dez Bryant said the Cowboys have been developing ideas to get him off double coverage during the bye week.
|Over the last three games, Bryant is averaging just 3.3 catches for 60.0 yards with two touchdowns on 6.3 targets per day. The Cowboys have essentially let defenses take their best player out of the gameplan, forcing him into decoy status. Dez sounds confident that won't be an issue going forward. "You will see what happens," he said Monday. "I've been seeing (double coverage) for a (while) now; we've been working on it." The schedule is certainly ripe for Bryant down the stretch: at NYG, vs. OAK, at CHI, vs. GB and at WAS in fantasy Super Bowl week.|
|Rahim Moore needed leg surgery||11-19-2013|
|Rahim Moore FS CLE|
Broncos FS Rahim Moore underwent surgery Monday morning to repair bleeding in the muscle sheath in his lower left leg.
|Report: Wes Welker expected to be 'OK'||11-19-2013|
|Wes Welker WR LA|
Sources tell ESPN's Chris Mortensen that Wes Welker (concussion) is "expected to be OK."
|We're not sure if Mort's sources are referring to Welker's health in general, or his status for Sunday night's showdown with the Patriots. The slot machine was scheduled to undergo his initial baseline testing on Monday. If he passed that, he'll be on track to return to a full practice Friday and suit up against his former teammates. We'll know more on Welker when the Broncos return to practice Wednesday.|
|Harvin's snap count will be lifted after bye||11-19-2013|
|Percy Harvin WR BUF|
Coach Pete Carroll said Percy Harvin's snap count will be lifted following the Week 12 bye.
Profootballtalk on NBCSports.com
|Harvin was on a 20-snap limit in his 2013 debut. He came out of the game a little sore, but otherwise feels good. "We don't have to hold back and count plays and stuff like that," Carroll said. "He'll play a regular amount as we go. He won't play every play; we're going to still rotate our guys. We're not changing the offense." Harvin saw just one target against the Vikings, a number that should spike against the Saints in Week 13. No one should be surprised if he's a top-20 wideout over the season's final month.|
|Edelman catches 3-of-4 targets in Week 11||11-19-2013|
|Julian Edelman WR NE|
|Julian Edelman caught three passes for 27 yards in Week 11 against the Panthers.||Edelman saw four targets on the night as New England's No. 3 receiver. He has just six catches for 45 yards the past three games and hasn't scored since Week 1. Edelman isn't seeing enough passes come his way with the Patriots at full strength on offense. He's waiver-wire material at the moment.|
|Dobson secures four passes in Week 11 loss||11-19-2013|
|Aaron Dobson WR DET|
|Aaron Dobson caught four passes for 38 yards in Week 11 against Carolina.|
|Ginn catches game-winning 25-yard TD on MNF||11-19-2013|
|Ted Ginn WR CAR|
|Ted Ginn caught a 25-yard touchdown in Week 11 against the Patriots.||It was the biggest catch of the night, though. Ginn caught a short pass near the 15-yard line on the final drive. He made Kyle Arrington miss before breezing past another two defenders on his way to the left pylon for the game-winning score with 59 seconds left on the clock to put the Panthers up 24-20. Ginn has just four catches in his last three games and isn't worth a fantasy roster spot.|
|Amendola catches six short passes in loss||11-19-2013|
|Danny Amendola WR NE|
|Danny Amendola caught six passes for 45 yards in Week 11 at Carolina.||This was the Amendola we saw in St. Louis. He entered the game with a respectable 12.9 YPR average but posted a 7.5 YPR mark Monday night. Amendola did his work out of the slot, sitting down close to the line of scrimmage and picking up minimal gains. His longest grab went for 13 yards. Amendola saw seven targets on the night and should post bigger games down the stretch. He remains a WR2. The Patriots host the Broncos next Sunday night.|
|Olsen catches five passes, TD in MNF win||11-19-2013|
|Greg Olsen TE CAR|
|Greg Olsen caught five passes for 52 yards and one touchdown in Week 11 against the Patriots.||Olsen tied for the team lead with Brandon LaFell at eight targets. On the three misfires, Cam Newton simply overthrew his tight end on short routes. Olsen secured his 15-yard touchdown on a third-and-four corner route, beating Devin McCourty. It was a perfect throw by Newton. Olsen has now scored in three of the last four games and remains locked in as a TE1. He could do a lot of damage next week against a Miami defense that struggles to cover tight ends.|
|Gronkowski goes for 59 yards, TD in MNF loss||11-19-2013|
|Rob Gronkowski TE NE|
|Rob Gronkowski caught five passes for 59 yards and one touchdown in New England's Week 11 loss to Carolina on Monday night.||Gronkowski was targeted seven times on the night but didn't see his first pass until there was 1:52 left in the first half. He was a big-time factor afterward both as a receiver and blocker. On Gronk's nine-yard touchdown in the third quarter, he beat Quintin Mikell on a slant route and plowed through three Carolina defenders on his way to the end zone. He added a big catch down the right seam on a fourth-and-ten play on the final drive. Gronkowski was also part of the final play. Tom Brady targeted his tight end from 18 yards out with no time remaining. Luke Kuechly was tasked to cover Gronkowski, and the linebacker bear-hugged him in the end zone. Officials threw a flag before deciding to pick it up, ending the game. Gronkowski will be Rotoworld's No. 1 tight end for Week 12 against Denver.|
|LaFell reels in seven passes, TD in MNF win||11-19-2013|
|Brandon LaFell WR CIN|
|Brandon LaFell caught seven passes for 59 yards and one touchdown in Monday night's Week 11 victory over the Patriots.||LaFell's seven grabs and eight targets led the team. He played his normal role as the outside receiver in two-wide sets before shifting to the slot when No. 3 receiver Ted Ginn entered. LaFell's nine-yard touchdown on third-and-goal kicked off the scoring. He beat rookies Duron Harmon and Logan Ryan on the play. It was LaFell's first end-zone visit since Week 6. He's a WR4.|
|Thompkins catches two passes in Week 11 loss||11-19-2013|
|Kenbrell Thompkins WR NYJ|
|Kenbrell Thompkins caught two passes for 60 yards in Week 11 against the Panthers.||One game after being a healthy inactive, Thompkins returned to the lineup and picked up two big gains on his lone two targets. He played sparingly behind Aaron Dobson but made the most of his opportunities. Both catches came on deep slants that Thompkins turned up field for gains of 37 and 23. His 37-yard grab got the Patriots to the one-yard line in the fourth quarter. Stevan Ridley pounded it in on the next play to tie the game at 17-17. Thompkins isn't worth owning in re-draft leagues. He's the No. 4 wideout.|
|Smiff and Talib go at it in MNF showdown||11-19-2013|
|Steve Smith WR BAL|
|Steve Smith caught four passes for 62 yards in a Week 11 win over New England.||Smith was targeted just six times, finishing third on the team behind Brandon LaFell and Greg Olsen. However, this was another entertaining week from Smiff. He and Aqib Talib were going at it during and after every snap it seemed in the opening half. Smith was in Talib's head and drew two penalties against one of the league's premier corners. Talib was unable to finish the game due a re-tweak of his hip injury. Following the game, Smith, speaking through reporters, told Talib to "ice up, son." Smith won this battle with ease. He'll be on the WR2 map next week against a leaky Dolphins defense.|
|Blount leads Patriots with 49 rushing yards||11-19-2013|
|LeGarrette Blount RB NE|
|LeGarrette Blount rushed for 49 yards on ten carries in Week 11 against the Panthers.||Blount wasn't a part of the passing game, as always. He's yet to catch a pass this season. Blount was only in the game after Stevan Ridley lost a fumble inside the red zone at the beginning of the second quarter. Ridley spent over 20 minutes of game time in coach Bill Belichick's doghouse before returning with 1:38 left in the third quarter. Blount played sparingly thereafter. Look for Ridley to be absolved of his sins in Week 12 and carry the load against the Broncos. Blount isn't worth owning in any fantasy leagues.|
|Stewart rushes for 10 yards in MNF victory||11-19-2013|
|Jonathan Stewart RB CAR|
|Jonathan Stewart rushed four times for ten yards in Monday night's Week 11 win over New England.||Stewart barely played behind DeAngelo Williams and Mike Tolbert. He appeared to have one series to himself, but that was mostly it for him this week. Tolbert handled most of the work late in the second half as the team's superior pass protector. Stewart will hope for an increased load against a weak Miami defense in Week 12. We can't trust any of these three backs in fantasy. The volume simply isn't going to be there unless someone gets hurt.|
|Ridley benched briefly but scores on MNF||11-19-2013|
|Stevan Ridley RB ATL|
|Stevan Ridley rushed for 48 yards and one touchdown on 13 carries against the Panthers in Week 11.||As is the norm, Ridley wasn't involved in the passing game. He also lost a fumble at the beginning of the second quarter in the red zone and spent the rest of the half and 13:22 of the third quarter in Bill Belichick's doghouse. It was Ridley's third lost fumble of the season and his second in as many games. LeGarrette Blount came on and picked up 49 yards on ten carries. Ridley scored from one yard out on a stretch run to the right after he reentered to tie the game at 17-17 in the fourth quarter. He also had a fine 13-yard run early on where he ran into a wall of defenders but bounced off the right edge to pick up a first down. Ridley will be safe to ride as a high-end RB2 next week against the Broncos.|
|DeAngelo rushes for 14 yards in MNF win||11-19-2013|
|DeAngelo Williams RB PIT|
|DeAngelo Williams rushed six times for 14 yards in Carolina's Week 11 victory over the Patriots.||There wasn't much running room to be had for the Panthers' stable of running backs. Williams and Mike Tolbert combined for 31 yards on 12 carries, while Jonathan Stewart pitched in ten yards on four totes. Williams tacked on two receptions for 11 yards. Overall, with Stewart returning to the mix last week, it's left this backfield as a fantasy situation to avoid. None of the three are going to see the desired volume to warrant flex consideration. The Panthers travel to Miami next.|
|Tom Brady efficient in MNF loss to Panthers||11-19-2013|
|Tom Brady QB NE|
|Tom Brady completed 29-of-40 passes for 296 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in Monday night's Week 11 loss to the Panthers.||Brady was extremely efficient for much of the night before the final drive. At one point, he completed 13 consecutive passes. Most were high-percentage throws, but Brady sprinkled in a seam route to Rob Gronkowski and two deep slants to Kenbrell Thompkins. Brady was mostly working it to Shane Vereen, who led the team in receiving, and Danny Amendola in the short game. When he wanted to test the outside, Brady picked on rookie corner Melvin White. With his full assortment of weapons back healthy, Brady is back as a QB1. The Broncos are up next for the 7-3 Patriots on Sunday Night Football in Week 12.|
|Tolbert leads Panthers RBs with 17 yards||11-19-2013|
|Mike Tolbert FB CAR|
|Mike Tolbert rushed for 17 yards on six carries in the Panthers' Week 11 win over the Patriots on Monday night.||Tolbert and DeAngelo Williams each carried the rock six times to lead the team, while Tobert's 17 yards led the backfield. Carolina employed a three-man rotation with the aforementioned two and Jonathan Stewart. Tolbert handled his customary short-yardage and goal-line looks. He picked up a big first down on a third-and-one run around the right side, but that was the highlight of his night. Tolbert and all three of the Carolina backs are merely desperation fantasy plays.|
