Donald Brown totals 94 yards, 2 TDs in win 11-14-2013
Donald Brown RB SD
Donald Brown rushed 14 times for 80 yards and two touchdowns in Indianapolis' Week 11 win over the Titans, adding one catch for 14 yards. As has become custom, Brown out-gained Trent Richardson 94-53, and out-touched him 8-2 in the fourth quarter. Brown was on the field for all the Colts' biggest plays, and averaged 5.7 yards per carry to T-Rich's 2.8. Brown had some very impressive runs, finding the hole quickly and getting up field in a hurry. Basically, the opposite of what Richardson has been doing. Having now out-gained T-Rich in two straight games, and three of the past four, Brown will be the Colts' running back to FLEX in Week 12 against the Cardinals' sturdy run defense.
T-Rich manages 53 total yards in win over TEN 11-14-2013
Trent Richardson RB IND
Trent Richardson rushed eight times for 22 yards in Indianapolis' Week 11 win over the Titans, adding five catches for 31 yards. The good news is - and we're stretching the meaning of the word "good" here - that Richardson's 53 yards from scrimmage matched his second most as a Colt. The bad news is, he once again got out-gained by Donald Brown (94-83), and got out-touched by Brown 8-2 in the fourth quarter. The Colts are admitting the obvious - that Brown is running circles around his more ballyhooed backfield mate right now - with their play-calling, while T-Rich is giving them little reason to change up the script. Even on T-Rich's longest play of the night - a 14-yard catch in the first quarter - his deficiencies were on display. Catching a screen, Richardson chopped his steps in the open field instead of fully accelerating, sacrificing yardage in search of a bigger play that wasn't to be. It's still far too early in Richardson's career to declare him a lost cause, but his 2013 is certainly shaping up as a lost season. He can't be started over Brown in Week 14 against Arizona's stout run defense.
CJ2K manages two touchdowns in loss to Colts 11-14-2013
Chris Johnson RB NYJ
Chris Johnson rushed 17 times for 86 yards and two touchdowns in Tennessee's Week 11 loss to the Colts. Johnson lost two yards on his lone reception, a botched fourth-quarter screen. Johnson came out blazing, capping the Titans' opening drive with a 30-yard touchdown. Johnson fit himself through an amazingly small hole, and was off to the races after that. Whereas Johnson showcased his speed on his first score, his flashed some uncharacteristic power on the second, dragging the pile with some impressive leg drive on a seven-yard run later in the first quarter. He went in the tank after that, however, gaining only 16 yards over his final nine carries. The league's most inconsistent runner gets the Raiders in Week 12. Oakland is allowing just 3.69 yards per carry.
Luck manages rushing TD in narrow victory 11-14-2013
Andrew Luck QB IND
Andrew Luck completed 23-of-36 passes for 232 yards in Indianapolis' 30-27 Week 11 win over the Titans, adding nine rushes for 31 yards and a touchdown. Luck's 11-yard touchdown run midway through the third quarter - which included the second-year quarterback faking LE Derrick Morgan out of his shoes - saved what would have otherwise been a highly forgettable fantasy effort. Luck spent the entire first half throwing off his back foot, as the Colts' sieve-like offensive line had two of its worst quarters of the season. The whole offense settled down after the break, however, with Luck striking up a nice connection with Coby Fleener. Life hasn't been easy for Luck without Reggie Wayne, but he appears to be slowly adjusting. Luck will be a borderline QB1 in Week 12 against the Cardinals.
Mario Manningham still limited on Thursday 11-14-2013
Mario Manningham WR NYG
Mario Manningham (knee) remained limited in Thursday's practice.

49ers on Twitter
The 49ers are just managing Manningham's reps after he made his season debut in Week 10. He's a WR4/5 for Week 11 against the Saints.
Vernon Davis still limited on Thursday 11-14-2013
Vernon Davis TE SF
Vernon Davis (concussion) remained limited in Thursday's practice.

49ers on Twitter
Tom Brady practicing in full for Week 11 11-14-2013
Tom Brady QB NE
Tom Brady (shoulder) is practicing in full for Week 11. Brady's been banged up this season, but should be as healthy as he's been since Week 1 coming off the Patriots' bye week. Brady carved up the Steelers in Week 9, indicating that he might be "back" for fantasy purposes, but has an imposing matchup in the Panthers' potentially league-best defense.
Danny Amendola practicing in full for MNF 11-14-2013
Danny Amendola WR NE
Danny Amendola (groin) is practicing in full for Week 11. Coming off the Patriots' bye week, Amendola should be as healthy as he's been all season. If he can stay healthy - and that's a big if - Amendola should pay major WR2 dividends down the stretch for owners who held onto him.
Wes Welker upgraded to full on Thursday 11-14-2013
Wes Welker WR DEN
Wes Welker (ankle) was upgraded to "full" in Thursday's practice after getting in a limited session on Wednesday. With his out-of-whack touchdown rate finally slackening, Welker is more WR2 than WR1, but remains an obvious must start.
Jimmy Graham still limited on Thursday 11-14-2013
Jimmy Graham TE NO
Jimmy Graham (foot, elbow) remained limited in Thursday's practice. Graham's Sunday status isn't in doubt, but it's uncertain how many snaps he'll play after being limited to 33-of-83 in Week 10. Either way, he's the clear-cut No. 2 tight end behind Rob Gronkowski for fantasy purposes.
Daniel Thomas still limited on Thursday 11-14-2013
Daniel Thomas RB MIA
Daniel Thomas (ankle) remained limited in Thursday's practice. There's been no indication that Fumblin' Dan is in danger of missing Sunday's game against the Chargers, but his Friday status will be key. If you're starting Thomas in a fantasy league, it's likely already too late.
Ben Tate still limited on Thursday 11-14-2013
Ben Tate RB CLE
Ben Tate (ribs) remained limited in Thursday's practice. This is Tate's routine as he plays through four broken ribs. He'll start Sunday's game against the Raiders, and is an RB2 for fantasy purposes.
Crabtree not practicing, SF says no setback 11-14-2013
Michael Crabtree WR SF
Michael Crabtree (PUP, Achilles') hasn't practiced this week, but the 49ers insist he hasn't suffered a setback.

CSN Bay Area
"None that I know of," OC Greg Roman said when asked Thursday if his No. 1 receiver had hit a snag in his rehab. "He's progressing nicely." It's bizarre that Crabtree hasn't practiced this week after getting in some reps in Week 10, but this is an instance where we have no choice but to take the coaching staff at face value. Either way, it's pretty clear Crabtree won't be returning against the Saints.
IND would 'absolutely' still acquire T-Rich? 11-14-2013
Trent Richardson RB IND
NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports the Colts would "absolutely" still trade a first-round pick for Trent Richardson if they could do things over.

Chris Wesseling on Twitter
Per RapSheet, Indy stills loves T-Rich's "violent running style." There's likely an element of coachspeak to this - there's no way the Colts haven't had some second thoughts - but the handwringing over Richardson's struggles has been somewhat overwrought. Richardson has been a massive fantasy bust, but it's not as if his physical gifts simply disappeared overnight. He's also still been on the Colts' roster for less than two months, and these things take time. T-Rich's 2013 will almost certainly go down as a lost season, but he'll be a legitimate bounce-back candidate in 2014.
Moise Fokou again leads Titans' inactives 11-14-2013
Moise Fokou LB TEN
Titans declared MLB Moise Fokou, WR Damian Williams, CB Tommie Campbell, LB Zaviar Gooden, C Brian Schwenke, OT Mike Otto and DE LaVar Edwards inactive for Week 11 against the Colts. It's Fokou's fourth straight inactive. Colin McCarthy will continue to fill in at middle linebacker. Starting in place of Jake Locker (Lisfranc, injured reserve), Ryan Fitzpatrick is a viable, if low-end, QB2 for Week 11.
Da'Rick Rogers leads Colts' Week 12 inactives 11-14-2013
Da'Rick Rogers WR IND
Colts declared WR Da'Rick Rogers, SS Delano Howell, LCB Greg Toler, CB Josh Gordy, LB Kelvin Sheppard, C Khaled Homes and DT Montori Hughes inactive for Week 11 against the Titans.

Mike Chappell on Twitter
There was a chance Rogers would be active to round out the Colts' receiver corps three days after his promotion from the practice squad, but he'll watch from the sideline. There's no guarantee he lasts on the roster through Week 12, but we'd guess he will. Toler (groin) hasn't played since Week 7, and remains week to week.
Marshawn Lynch upgraded to 'full' Thursday 11-14-2013
Marshawn Lynch RB SEA
Marshawn Lynch (knee) was upgraded to full in Thursday's practice.

Liz Mathews on Twitter
Beast Mode is a top-five running back play against Minnesota's swiss-cheese defense.
Report: Big Ben's teammates want improvement 11-14-2013
Ben Roethlisberger QB PIT
According to NFL.com's Mike Silver, some of Ben Roethlisberger's teammates believe he needs to "upgrade his preparation (and) film study away from the facility," and become "more cerebral."

Ian Rapoport on Twitter
"More cerebral" isn't something people become overnight, but this isn't the first time we've heard Roethlisberger's work ethic questioned. He's always been more of a spitballer/gunslinger than technician. Going on 32, Big Ben is an old dog unlikely to learn new tricks, but he's going to soon have to if he wants to remain an effective quarterback. He can't keep taking hits the way he has to this point in his career.
Report: Polamalu must play 'very well' 11-14-2013
Troy Polamalu S PIT
NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports Steelers SS Troy Polamalu will have to play "very well" down the stretch to ensure his roster spot for 2014.

Ian Rapoport on Twitter
Percy Harvin gets in full practice Thursday 11-14-2013
Percy Harvin WR SEA
Percy Harvin (hip) was upgraded to "full" in Thursday's practice.

Bob Condotta on Twitter
It all but ensures that Harvin will make his 2013 debut against his former team this weekend, even if he earns a "questionable" tag on Friday's injury report. Coach Pete Carroll had said how Harvin responded to practicing on Wednesday would be key to his Week 11 status, and the fact that he's done so with a full practice is a good indication he's ready to return. Harvin is expected to be on a snap count against the Vikings, making him a boom-or-bust WR3. Owners would be best served by keeping Harvin benched until after the Seahawks' Week 12 bye.
Jason Campbell (ribs) practicing in full 11-14-2013
Jason Campbell QB CIN
Jason Campbell (ribs) is practicing in full for Week 11. Campbell's health is not a concern ahead of Sunday's divisional showdown with the Bengals. Coming off back-to-back solid starts, Campbell is a legitimate QB2 for Week 11.
Vincent Jackson upgraded to full on Thursday 11-14-2013
Vincent Jackson WR TB
Vincent Jackson (knee) was upgraded to "full" in Thursday's practice. Jackson will start against the Falcons, and serve in his usual role. Although Jackson is averaging just 39 yards over his past three games, he remains a WR2.
MJD back at Jaguars practice Thursday 11-14-2013
Maurice Jones-Drew RB OAK
Maurice Jones-Drew (knee) returned to Jaguars practice Thursday, getting in a limited session. The Jags are just managing their 28-year-old back's legs, as they normally do. MJD is a borderline RB2 against the Cardinals' stout run defense.
Mike Brown (ankle) still limited on Thursday 11-14-2013
Mike Brown WR JAX
Mike Brown (ankle) remained limited in Thursday's practice. Brown is fully expected to suit up for Sunday's game against the Cardinals. Now the Jaguars' No. 2 receiver, Brown is a WR4 with a bit of upside.
Achilles' lands Jennings on injury report 11-14-2013
Greg Jennings WR MIN
Greg Jennings was added to the Vikings' injury report Thursday, getting in a limited session with an Achilles' issue.

Chip Scoggins on Twitter
Mid-week downgrades are never good news, but especially when they're Achilles' tendon related. Jennings hasn't spent much time on the injury report this season, but it's possible it's just a minor issue the Vikings are using as a means of limiting his reps. A WR3/4 for Week 11, Jennings' status will be updated on Friday.
Wallace (hamstring) pops up on injury report 11-14-2013
Mike Wallace WR MIA
Mike Wallace was added to the Dolphins' injury report Thursday, getting in a limited session with a hamstring issue.

Barry Jackson on Twitter
Details are scarce, but Wallace likely pulled up lame in Thursday's practice. It casts doubt on his Week 11 status, but it's entirely possible the Dolphins are just limiting Wallace's reps. His status will be updated on Friday. Until then, owners of the low-end WR3 need to have a back-up plan ready.
Stephen Hill upgraded to 'full' on Thursday 11-14-2013
Stephen Hill WR NYJ
Stephen Hill (foot, knee) was upgraded to "full" in Thursday's practice.
D.J. Hayden expected to be out 'a while' 11-14-2013
D.J. Hayden CB OAK
Raiders coach Dennis Allen expects CB D.J. Hayden (groin) to be sidelined "a while."

Scott Bair on Twitter
Hayden sat out on Sunday, and can be safely ruled out for Week 11. Whenever Hayden finally returns, he'll be looking to put a disastrous Week 9 performance against the Eagles behind him.
Adrian Peterson gets rest day on Thursday 11-14-2013
Adrian Peterson RB MIN
Adrian Peterson was held out of Thursday's practice for rest purposes.

Chip Scoggins on Twitter
Peterson isn't injured. He's locked in as Rotoworld's No. 1 running back for Week 11.
Marcus Lattimore hopes to resume practicing 11-14-2013
Marcus Lattimore RB SF
Marcus Lattimore (knee, reserve/NFI) hopes to resume practicing next week, but is aware he's unlikely to play this season.

Sacramento Bee
Tuesday is the final day the 49ers can activate Lattimore's three-week window to come off the NFI list. Lattimore wants to resume practicing for piece of mind heading into 2014. "It would be important to have my mind ready for the next year - real excited about it." Lattimore remains off the radar in re-draft leagues, but is worth a stash in Dynasty formats.
Brent Celek (hip) still limited on Thursday 11-14-2013
Brent Celek TE PHI
Brent Celek (hip) remained limited in Thursday's practice.

Jeff McLane on Twitter
Celek is fully expected to play through the injury against the Redskins. A surprisingly small part of Philadelphia's offense this season, Celek is barely on the TE2 radar.
Andre Roberts gets in full practice Thursday 11-14-2013
Andre Roberts WR WAS
Andre Roberts (knee) was upgraded to "full" in Thursday's practice.

Kent Somers on Twitter
Roberts will be active against the Jaguars, but with Michael Floyd (shoulder) also trending in the right direction, he'll be limited to No. 3 duties.
Aqib Talib limited in Thursday's practice 11-14-2013
Aqib Talib CB DEN
Patriots CB Aqib Talib (hip) was limited in Thursday's practice.

Mike Reiss on Twitter
Talib hinted afterward that he expects to return for Monday's game against the Panthers. That's also the consensus amongst the local media. Talib last played in Week 6.
Rob Gronkowski 'limited' on Thursday 11-14-2013
Rob Gronkowski TE NE
Rob Gronkowski (forearm, back, hamstring) was limited in Thursday's practice.

Mike Reiss on Twitter
Despite the Patriots' dutiful insistence on listing Gronk with three injuries, he'll be ready to rock against the Panthers. He's Rotoworld's No. 1 tight end for Week 11.
Steven Jackson (toe) upgraded to full Thurs. 11-14-2013
Steven Jackson RB ATL
Steven Jackson (toe) was upgraded to "full" in Thursday's practice.

atlantafalcons.com
S-Jax will be ready to roll against the Bucs, but can't be trusted as more than a FLEX option. Jackson is averaging just 3.21 yards through his first 47 carries.
Roddy White (shoulder) still limited on Thur. 11-14-2013
Roddy White WR ATL
Roddy White (shoulder) remained limited in Thursday's practice.

atlantafalcons.com
It's far from ideal for White to be missing practice time with yet another new injury, but there's been no indication his Week 11 status is in doubt. Even if he's listed as questionable on Friday's injury report, White should be expected to start against Darrelle Revis and the Bucs.
Harry Douglas misses practice with knee issue 11-14-2013
Harry Douglas WR ATL
Updating an earlier item, Harry Douglas missed Thursday's practice with a knee issue.

Vaughn McClure on Twitter
It was previously unknown why Douglas missed the session. He likely suffered the injury in Wednesday's practice, but that usually results in a "limited" tag on the day of. It's possible Douglas went down at the exact end of Wednesday's session, or tweaked it early Thursday. Either way, his Week 11 status is now murky, while what he's able to do on Friday will be paramount. Owners planning to trot Douglas out as their WR3 need to have a back-up plan ready.
Falcons hopeful Gonzalez can practice Friday 11-14-2013
Tony Gonzalez TE ATL
Falcons coach Mike Smith is hopeful Tony Gonzalez (toe) will return to practice on Friday.

Falcons on Twitter
"I would never count Tony Gonzalez out," Smith said in his first real comment on the situation. Gonzalez missed Wednesday and Thursday's sessions, but a Friday return would have him squarely on track to suit up against the Bucs. Gonzalez's status will be updated no later than Friday afternoon.
Josh Morgan miffed at reduced role 11-14-2013
Josh Morgan WR CHI
Josh Morgan says he doesn't know why he's been phased out of the Redskins offense.

CSN Washington
"No sir, none at all," Morgan said when asked if he had an idea as to why his playing time had been reduced. "I don't even really try to worry about it anymore. I know I didn't do anything to lose my job. I come out here and work just as hard, if not harder, than anyone out here." Morgan hasn't played more than 32 snaps in any game this season, and has managed only three total targets since Week 4. He's been primarily used as a blocker. Morgan simply isn't as good as Leonard Hankerson, or as reliable as Santana Moss. Morgan obviously has zero fantasy value.
Incognito files grievance against Dolphins 11-14-2013
Richie Incognito G MIA
Suspended LG Richie Incognito has filed a grievance against the Dolphins.

Chris Mortensen on Twitter
Incognito believes his indefinite suspension is a violation of the collective-bargaining agreement. Even were Incognito to "win" his grievance, there's a good chance his reward would be his outright release. He's almost certainly played his last game as a Dolphin.
DC: Aldon Smith will play a 'lot' this week 11-14-2013
Aldon Smith DE SF
49ers DC Vic Fangio expects OLB Aldon Smith to play "a lot" in Week 11.

Matt Barrows on Twitter
Smith played just 12-of-67 snaps in his Week 10 return, but the 49ers are ready to unleash their No. 1 pass rusher as they look to slow Drew Brees. Smith may need one more week to get his legs underneath him, but should be a force down the stretch.
Martellus Bennett doesn't practice Thursday 11-14-2013
Martellus Bennett TE CHI
Martellus Bennett (ankle) was held out of Bears practice Thursday.

Jeff Dickerson on Twitter
Casey Hayward expected to miss 'multiple' wks 11-14-2013
Casey Hayward CB GB
Speaking Thursday, Packers coach Mike McCarthy revealed CB Casey Hayward's hamstring injury will sideline him "multiple weeks."

Tyler Dunne on Twitter
It's yet another setback for Hayward with the hamstring injury that's been plaguing him all season. He's been limited to 88 snaps across only three games. Tramon Williams, Sam Shields, Davon House and Micah Hyde are the Packers' top four cornerbacks in Hayward's absence.
Ponder 'optimistic' he'll start Sunday's game 11-14-2013
Christian Ponder QB MIN
Christian Ponder (shoulder) continued to take the first-team reps in Vikings practice Thursday, and said he's optimistic he'll start Sunday's game.

Minneapolis Star-Tribune
"Honestly it's a lot better than I expected to be all week," Ponder said Thursday. "(I) threw it around a lot more than I expected to (Wednesday). And each day it's going to keep getting better.'' Barring a setback, Ponder is going to start against the Seahawks.
Kareem Jackson will be game-time decision 11-14-2013
Kareem Jackson CB HOU
Texans CB Kareem Jackson (chest) will be a game-time decision for Week 11.

Drew Dougherty on Twitter
Jackson bruised his chest in last week's loss to the Cardinals. With the Raiders' inept passing attack on tap for Sunday, the Texans are unlikely to force Jackson into the lineup. Brandon Harris would start opposite Johnathan Joseph if Jackson can't go.
Ed Reed will make Jets debut Sunday 11-14-2013
Ed Reed S NYJ
New Jets S Ed Reed will be active for Sunday's game against the Bills, but will come off the bench.

Manish Mehta on Twitter
It's quite possible Reed will remain No. 3 on the depth chart going forward, but he could push Antonio Allen if he improves on his poor play from Houston. That might not be possible for a player in steep decline, however. Reed's main contributions to the Jets are likely to be his leadership and intangibles. He's a shell of his former self on the field.
Terrelle Pryor back at Raiders practice Thu. 11-14-2013
Terrelle Pryor QB SEA
Terrelle Pryor (knee) returned to Raiders practice Thursday, splitting first-team reps with Matt McGloin.

Scott Bair on Twitter
Darren McFadden not practicing Thursday 11-14-2013
Darren McFadden RB OAK
Darren McFadden (hamstring) remained out of Raiders practice Thursday.

Steve Corkran on Twitter
We've got a typical DMC-injury situation on our hands. The slow-healing free agent to be won't suit up for Sunday's game against the Texans, and is week to week.
Santonio Holmes still limited on Thursday 11-14-2013
Santonio Holmes WR CHI
Santonio Holmes (hamstring) remained limited in Jets practice Thursday.

Rich Cimini on Twitter
Barring a setback, Holmes will return from his five-game absence and slide in as the Jets' No. 1 receiver. Holmes is Rotoworold's No. 44 receiver for Week 11.
Da'Quan Bowers dealing with a concussion 11-14-2013
Da'Quan Bowers DE TB
Bucs DE Da'Quan Bowers has been diagnosed with a concussion.

Rick Stroud on Twitter
He is week to week. Failing to earn a starting job and serving as a situational pass rusher, Bowers has been a major disappointment this season. He's notched half a sack in 163 snaps.
Harry Douglas a no-show at Falcons practice 11-14-2013
Harry Douglas WR ATL
Harry Douglas was absent from the portion of Falcons practice open to the media on Thursday.

Vaughn McClure on Twitter
It's unclear what the issue is, as Douglas was absent from Wednesday's injury report. That would suggest he either suffered an injury early on Thursday, or is away from the team on a personal matter. Douglas' status should be updated later this afternoon.
Bills 'don't feel good' about Stevie's status 11-14-2013
Steve Johnson WR SF
Bills coach Doug Marrone "(doesn't) feel good" about Stevie Johnson's chances of suiting up for Week 11.

buffalobills.com
"Obviously Stevie has missed two days and I don't feel good about him being able to play," Marrone said Thursday. "But I can't officially rule him out yet." There's a good chance that will happen on Friday, where Johnson will also likely be removed from Rotoworld's Week 11 ranks. With Robert Woods (ankle) already declared out, E.J. Manuel could be stuck with T.J. Graham, Marquise Goodwin and Chris Hogan as his top-three receivers against the Jets' top-notch defense.
Tony Gonzalez still not practicing Thursday 11-14-2013
Tony Gonzalez TE ATL
Tony Gonzalez (toe) remained out of Falcons practice Thursday.

Vaughn McClure on Twitter
The Falcons have maintained radio silence on Gonzalez's status, making him a tough case to crack for Week 11. Gonzalez is obviously a player who doesn't need to practice during the week to play on Sundays, but a return to at least a limited session on Friday would be a sign he'll suit up against the Bucs. For now, owners need to assume they will be without their TE1.
Michael Floyd back at Cards practice Thursday 11-14-2013
Michael Floyd WR ARZ
Michael Floyd (shoulder) returned to Cardinals practice Thursday.

Darren Urban on Twitter
Floyd will likely be listed as "limited" on the injury report, but this tentatively puts him on track to start Sunday's game against the Jaguars. His Friday status will be crucial, however. Playing at less than 100 percent, Floyd would be hard to trust as a WR3 if he suited up for Week 11.
Stephen Burton not practicing for Week 11 11-14-2013
Stephen Burton WR JAX
Stephen Burton (concussion) has yet to resume practicing.

John Oehser on Twitter
Jacksonville's No. 3 receiver is going to miss Sunday's game against the Cardinals. Burton is week to week.
Cecil Shorts (groin) doesn't practice Thurs. 11-14-2013
Cecil Shorts WR JAX
Cecil Shorts (groin) was held out of Thursday's practice.

John Oehser on Twitter
Jaguars.com believes it was just a veteran's day of rest for Shorts, who hasn't been getting in many practice reps of late, but has been suiting up on Sundays. He's Rotoworld's No. 19 receiver for Week 11.
Megatron dealing with 'maintenance issues' 11-14-2013
Calvin Johnson WR DET
Speaking after Thursday's missed practice, Calvin Johnson (undisclosed) said he's dealing with some "maintenance issues," but that he'll be ready for Sunday's game against the Steelers.

Tim Twentyman on Twitter
It sounds like the machine just needs a tune up. Megatron's status can no longer be taken for granted after his shock Week 5 inactive, but this has all the hallmarks of the Lions simply managing their star wideout's practice reps. Johnson will likely return to practice on Friday, getting in a limited session. Owners should monitor his status, but keep him locked in as their No. 1 receiver.
Manning back at Broncos practice Thursday 11-14-2013
Peyton Manning QB DEN
Peyton Manning (ankle) returned to Broncos practice Thursday.

Lindsay Jones on Twitter
Manning will likely be officially as "limited," but if there was any shred of doubt as to his Week 11 status, this removes it. He's going to be active for Sunday night's showdown with the undefeated Chiefs, and is Rotoworld's No. 1 quarterback for Week 11. Manning has yet to throw for less than 295 yards or two touchdowns this season.
Tolbert misses practice for personal reasons 11-14-2013
Mike Tolbert RB CAR
Mike Tolbert missed Thursday's practice for personal reasons.

Joe Person on Twitter
Brandon Jacobs back in practice 11-14-2013
Brandon Jacobs RB NYG
Brandon Jacobs (knee, hamstring) returned to practice Thursday.

Ralph Vacchiano on Twitter
Jacobs chronic knee issues and long recovery from a seemingly minor hamstring pull have left him third on the depth chart. Andre Brown is going to carry the mail as much as possible going forward.
Cordarrelle Patterson could draw start 11-14-2013
Cordarrelle Patterson WR MIN
Cordarrelle Patterson could start Sunday's game against the Seahawks.

Minneapolis Star-Tribune
Jerome Simpson won't be suspended for his alleged DWI, but coach Leslie Frazier admitted that Simpson might not start. It would be a big and long overdue opportunity for Patterson, although the matchup is awful. We doubt Christian Ponder and the Vikings' pass scheme is capable of doing anything at all against the Legion of Boom.
Lions expected to hold Burleson out Week 11 11-14-2013
Nate Burleson WR CLE
Nate Burleson (arm) is not expected to play in Sunday's game against the Steelers.

Adam Schefter on Twitter
Mychal Kendricks not practicing 11-14-2013
Mychal Kendricks LB PHI
Eagles ILB Mychal Kendricks (knee) did not practice Wednesday or Thursday.

Zach Berman on Twitter
Kendricks' injury is not considered serious, but he's in doubt for Sundays' game against the Redskins. It would leave the Eagles without their most athletic linebacker in a game oddsmakers project to be the highest scoring in Week 11. LT Jason Peters (quad) also hasn't practiced this week.
Jason Snelling back in practice 11-14-2013
Jason Snelling RB ATL
Jason Snelling (knee) returned to practice Thursday.

Vaughn McClure on Twitter
Snelling is on track to play a bit role behind Steven Jackson and Jacquizz Rodgers against the Bucs Sunday.
Stevie Johnson is still not back in practice 11-14-2013
Steve Johnson WR SF
Stevie Johnson (groin) is not practicing Thursday.

Joe Buscaglia on Twitter
Even if Johnson somehow suits up against the Jets Sunday, it looks like he'll be at less than 100 percent. He should probably just play it safe and sit out through the Week 12 bye. That would leave E.J. Manuel with T.J. Graham, Marquise Goodwin and Chris Hogan as his top-three wideouts. Robert Woods (ankle) has already been ruled out.
Ricky Sapp released by Jets 11-14-2013
Ricky Sapp DE HOU
Jets waived OLB Ricky Sapp. Sapp has been doing the roster dance with the Jets for most of the season. He's a candidate to be re-signed to the practice squad.
Calvin Johnson not back in practice Thursday 11-14-2013
Calvin Johnson WR DET
Calvin Johnson (undisclosed) is not practicing Thursday.

Tim Twentyman on Twitter
Johnson's knee isn't known to be giving problems of late, but he typically gets a limited workout in on Thursdays. Perhaps he's just taking an extra rest day after seeing another 17 targets against the Bears last week. We're not overly concerned yet, but keep an eye out for additional info later Thursday and Friday.
Ed Reed reunites with Rex Ryan in New York 11-14-2013

Rex Ryan was the Ravens defensive coordinator from 2005-08 and hasn't been shy about lavishing Reed with praise ever since he left. However, Rex isn't getting the guy he knows from their Baltimore days. Reed is 35 years old, coming off hip surgery and was demoted to third string in Houston despite $6 million guaranteed in his contract. Still, the Jets are getting one of the game's premier leaders and a future Hall of Famer for pennies. Reed, who is expected to play against Buffalo this week, should at least be able to bolster the secondary by rotating with struggling Antonio Allen and allowing Dawan Landry to play some strong safety. It's a low-risk move for the 5-4 Jets.
Dion Jordan's role is not expanding 11-14-2013
Dion Jordan DE MIA
Dolphins DC Kevin Coyle said he has no intention to increase DE/OLB Dion Jordan's role.

Palm Beach Post
Jordan, the No. 3 overall pick in the draft, is serving as a situational pass-rusher. The Dolphins don't trust him to play against the run, so he played on just nine defensive snaps against the Bucs on Monday night. For the season, Jordan has played on 178-of-672 snaps (26.4 percent). He has one sack and 11 tackles.
Mike Wallace hasn't gotten loose deep 11-14-2013
Mike Wallace WR MIA
Mike Wallace has caught just three of the 15 passes thrown to him that have traveled 20 yards or longer in the air.

Miami Herald
In other words, he's been turned into a $60 million possession receiver. Wallace is averaging a career-low 12.4 yards per catch on the season and has one touchdown in nine games. The inept offensive line play, the West coast scheme and Wallace himself are all to blame. Perhaps he finally breaks off a big play in this week's dream matchup with the Chargers' No. 28 secondary. Starting corners Derek Cox and Shareece Wright are two of the worst in the NFL.

Patriots to test Vereen in practice this week 11-14-2013
Shane Vereen RB NE
Shane Vereen (wrist, short-term IR) will face an increased level of competition at practice this week as coaches determine his role for Monday night's game against the Panthers.

Boston Herald
Vereen, who has been practicing since Oct. 30, is eligible to return this week. His performance in practice will determine both whether he'll be active and exactly how he'll be used. We expect the dynamic passing back to suit up, but he could be eased back into the mix. Ideally, owners will hold Vereen on benches, hope he gets the 10-14 touches we expect and then unleash him against the Broncos in Week 12. Fill-in passing back Brandon Bolden can be dropped across the board.

Christian Ponder got majority of snaps Wed 11-14-2013
Christian Ponder QB MIN
Josh Freeman said Christian Ponder (shoulder) took the majority of first-team snaps Wednesday.

Minneapolis Star-Tribune
The left (non-throwing) shoulder dislocation Ponder sustained while diving for the pylon last Thursday was minor. He's fully on track to start in this week's game against the Seahawks, but the entire Vikings passing game is "hands off" in the brutal matchup.
Garrett Hartley has gone cold of late 11-14-2013
Garrett Hartley K NO
Garrett Hartley has missed four of his last six field-goal attempts.

ESPN.com
The Saints worked out five kickers this week in an effort to update their emergency list -- and send Hartley a message in the process. He missed a 37-yarder against the Cowboys on Sunday night. "My leg feels great," he said. "I'm striking a clean ball. Bouncing back, even after a game like [last Sunday's], when obviously I didn't strike the ball well and I know why. It's a simple fix." Hartley will still be a top-10 fantasy kicking option this week thanks to the Saints offense and the friendly confines of the Superdome.

Levine Toilolo picking up reps at TE 11-14-2013
Levine Toilolo TE ATL
Levine Toilolo is Tony Gonzalez's primary backup.

ESPN.com
Toilolo is a fourth-round rookie out of Stanford that goes a monstrous 6'8/260. He can't run very well, but he's a red-zone target and is soaking up first-team reps as Gonzalez nurses a toe injury. Extreme deep leaguers can monitor the situation as Toiolo would make for a desperation plug-n-play if he starts. The only other threat is former Bengals bust Chase Coffman.

DeMeco Ryans rejuvenated under Billy Davis 11-14-2013
DeMeco Ryans LB PHI
Eagles ILB DeMeco Ryans is playing on 96 percent of the snaps this season.

Philadelphia Inquirer & Daily News
Ryans is playing near the level he was at before a ruptured Achilles' tendon in 2010. He's fourth in the NFL with 89 tackles, and also has two sacks, four pass breakups and two interceptions. He's also the on-field leader of Billy Davis' improved defense, making the calls at the line of scrimmage. Ryans may actually be back for his age-30 season with the Eagles despite a $6.8 million base salary.
Breno Giacomini, Okung are practicing 11-14-2013
Breno Giacomini OT NYJ
Seahawks RT Breno Giacomini (knee) and LT Russell Okung (toe) are both practicing this week. Yes, the Seahawks are about to get another infusion of talent. Along with Percy Harvin's impending return, their starting tackles are expected to get some snaps against the Vikings this week. It allows natural guard Paul McQuistan to go back inside and should improve Russell Wilson's protection vastly.
Case Keenum continues to protect the football 11-14-2013
Case Keenum QB STL
Case Keenum hasn't thrown an interception in 102 pass attempts this season.

Houston Chronicle
The franchise record is 110 consecutive attempts without an interception, set ironically by this year's pick-six king Matt Schaub. The stat proves that Keenum is capable of playing an aggressive, schoolyard kind of style while still protecting the football. He has seven touchdowns, zero picks and a 105.1 passer rating through games this season and will be a solid QB2 against the Raiders Sunday.
Owen Daniels still targeting Week 14 return 11-14-2013
Owen Daniels TE BAL
Owen Daniels (IR/recall, leg) said Wednesday he's still targeting Week 14 for his return.

Houston Chronicle
Daniels sustained a non-displaced right fibula fracture against the 49ers in Week 5. With the Texans at 2-7, he'll have to prove he's truly 100 percent to get back on the field for the final four games. But if he does, he'll step right back in as the primary tight end ahead of an unimpressive Garrett Graham. Daniels was averaging 4.8 catches for 50.4 yards with three touchdowns through five games.
Evan Dietrich-Smith has a knee sprain 11-14-2013
Evan Dietrich-Smith T TB
Packers C Evan Dietrich-Smith has been diagnosed with a knee sprain.

Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel
Dietrich-Smith admitted the injury he sustained in the loss to the Eagles could have been worse. Still, he appears unlikely to play in this week's game against the Giants. That would leave T.J. Lang, who has very little experience at center, to snap to Scott Tolzien.
Clay Matthews won't have giant club this week 11-14-2013
Clay Matthews LB GB
Clay Matthews is sporting a much smaller club on his right hand this week.

Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel
Matthews returned from his thumb fracture against the Redskins last week, but was largely ineffective. It looked like he was carrying around a bowling ball en route to just two tackles and no sacks. Now he's practicing with a much smaller brace ahead of this week's game against the Giants.
